i DLd two days ago and went to squat today. bad idea. had to bench, mil press, curl instead.
-
At least 72 hours if you are natural.
-
Same workout. Probably 8-10 minutes after setup. Suggest doing squats first. Good Luck.

I squat on a Friday, have the weekend off from training altogether, and deadlift on the Monday. Seems to work fine for me.
-
I squat Mondays and deadlift on Thursdays (and for the record, bench on Tuesdays)

It's good for about 2-3 weeks.....then it really wears you down, bad.......well maybe not the juiced, but for me after the 3rd week I was tore up.

if i were to go natty id probably do something similar to it. but i would do low volume, and stay away from failure. probably 3-4 sets per exercise, super heavy 1-3 rep range for a month then do moderate weight 6-10 rep range for a month and keep alternating.

I tried it.....first heavy.....it wore me the fuck out....so I took a week off, rested and tried the moderate approach......still wears you out....just too much.

To each his own when working out. If feeling too exhausted to do squats & DL's in the same workout, than it's not for you. But than again, hundreds of men do with very good results.
There is a point when a well planned workout, and not just lifting weights, insures that squats & DL's can give unexpected muscular gains when understanding the mechanics of each exercise. And understanding that each can be a superior leg and hip movement, one following the other in a serious workout. Good Luck.

deadlifts before squats?

deadlifts before squats?
Squats before deads.....exhaust the legs before the back.

i was thinking exhaust the back before the legs.
if you do shrugs before shoulders, its easier to isolate delts from traps cuz the traps are exausted.
would be easier to isolate legs from lower back if back was already exausted?

As suggested before, squats than DL's. Squats (prefer somewhat below the knee break) help to flex the hips and hams, as well as hitting the legs, before DL's. Trainee's should find that the Dl's becomes a little more "in the grove" while going lower.
I've also done heavier GoodMornings after squats or DL's. Can use GM'ings as an excellent warmup movement (light and for the stretch & reps) before either squats or DL's. Can sub Romanian DL's for GM'ings if you wish. Before squats I usually do 50 to 100 rep Hindu squats as a warmup. Good luck

hm. well i dont do squats or dealifts, lol. i do hack squats and barbell rows. usually is do barbell rows first, then hack squats.
