Title: Cardio question/help required!!
Post by: Rickyboy on March 06, 2011, 09:30:19 AM
Am I right in my thinking that to lose fat you have to do cardio in spurts of 65% of my heart rate, then slow it down, then speed it up? I guess my mistake a few years ago was I did cardio for 30 mins at full pelt after my workouts, I didn't lose b/f - just muscle and my face went all gaunt. Also looking for a device to wear on my wrist that shows I am indeed running at 65% as those bands that the gym supply do my head in.

What are your goals?  What is your diet like?

What are your goals?  What is your diet like?

I am eating clean 6 days a week, about 12/13% b/f at the moment, 5'8", always been very lean, I want to get 2" of my waist, get a little veinier, slightly more ripped - say 9%. I don't put fat on easy by the way.

I run at least 12 miles every day.  If I'm running with my 60 lb. pack, I have to wake up at 445 am to get it in before work.  Luckily I need no sleep.

I just find you humorous.  Invariably any "manly" getbig on discussion goes along these lines.

X:  I did such and such a thing.

Bench:  I did such and such and such a thing while carrying one of my eight supercharged Mustangs and not having slept in three years.

Not worth getting your panties in a twist over.

I had a $2000 a week meth habit but I quit by sealing myself for two weeks in a bunker I built in my backyard.  I had a supply of MREs and a bucket for puking.  It's the only way to do it, you just have to embrace the pain.  After about two days of puking so bad I dislocated a rib, I was able to move around so I worked on converting my Hayabusa to a shaft drive.
