Title: Body for Life Type Contest
Post by: littleguns on March 08, 2011, 10:56:54 AM
Forget mr getbig as people are making a mockery. I am currently putting together a 12 week get in shape contest. Steady have a few supplement companies interested in contributing.

Will build a site and partcipants can post pictures.

Would anyone seriously be interested?

If I didn't have to reveal my identity I would be down. This board is full of vultures, you can't give them ammo

I think this is a great idea.  I would like very much to get back on track...Although after seeing the McGrath/Hide bench contest I'm not so ashamed of my results after all, not strength wise at least.  But I would like to get some structure to put on some mass.  Something to motivate me to make it a priority.  As it is, I have difficulty finding the motivation but a contest might make me a little more goal-oriented in this area.

There are a ton of contests that you can enter if you want to - as for now, or until we get something more serious, Mr. Getbig is not in the running.

How do you intend on getting anymore serious ''contenders'' than you would find for the mr getbig on the getbig website?

Again contest will have nothing to do with getbig, just putting it out there.

I figured it would be a good reason for people to get in shape.

What about something more simple, say a strength contest on YouTube?  Special Ed did this on here before with his 225 for reps deadlift contest with a time limit.

Who gives a crap how much someone benches or squats. Its how you look at the end of the day. Girls don't look at an out of shape guy and say " look he must bench alot'

You have a point man, and when people see a dramatic physical transformation then it sticks in their minds much more so, coz people, and especially fellas, are very visual creatures.

Couldnt agree more. Person sees lean/ripped muscular guy and thinks he works out, must put up some good weight unlike the average joe that might bench 315 but people would never think that...

So who's interested?
