Okay, so according to the new theory I hear nowadays from very muscular (?) Getbiggers, protein is not so important, BBers have been brainwashed for decades by the supplement industy etc-etc. All you need to do is eat e.g. 3x100g (measured raw) chicken breast through the day and you are done...
But what about the myth that you have to eat 500 g (measured raw as well!) rice per day to grow??!! That's quite a huge portion.
So actually how much carbs do someone have to eat in order to maintain or grow his muscle mass?
I say 150-200g is more than enough.
Discuss.

If after consuming a lot of carbs, you feel tired and start to "crash",,,,,,
this means your body doesn't handle carbs very well and you shouldn't be eating a lot of them

agree just eat enough try to limit hardcore. drink a TON of water
but for me i find the best diet being alot of beans for lunch 20 ounces, and steel cut oats with raisons for breakfast 15 ounces.
when i get home i really dont want anymore beans, so i have a slice of poundcake and drink a ton of water
i try not to drink that much fruit juice though during the day, but i like it at night and when i first wake up

"diets" role within the equation is less than 5% FACT

I personally follow a high carb diet. Keep the muscle hydrated and full, allows you to train like a beast also

100g chicken breast is only 23 grams of protein. 3 of those per day is not enough. try 6-8.

I try to have a 1000g of carbs per day or more.
With those girl scout cookies theyre selling in front of the grocery store, I get in close to 1500g of carbs /day.

Honestly.
Ive been having about 150-200 per day for the past couple of weeks. 250 or so grams of protein and getting my fat from whole eggs, steak/ground beef, and almonds.
Then on the weekends ill probably double those carbs cause ill have dessert when we got out to dinner and a few light beers. Maybe snack on a few cookies throughout the day or have a pb and j sandwhich.
Feel Great.

Bingo for me. Often my head starts swimming and I literally have to fall asleep, sometimes for 14 15 hours straight if I eat a lot. Conversely I am the fucking MAN on a keto diet. But damn I do love sugar...
