Working out with a partner is annoying. You just get in each other's way, fuck up the flow of the workout.

Work out alone and go into a flow. That's the best way to get SWOLE like me.

After liftin for four years ive learned partners are garbage no one has the same goals and same body. What i have started soing is training with someone on certain days.... mostly the big three to keep motivation high

1st time I agree with this guy, I hate incorporating others ideas and movements when really I just want to do my own thing but like having a spotter.

i have been training alone for over 10 years... can't stand having to wait for someone else to finish their set and i'm not interested in talking while lifting...

Good training partners(s) can be worth their weight in gold. Prefer two others, which can give me (and them) just about enough time to hit my next set when their done with theirs. Have to establish a pace, or rhythm, in any good workout. Even if working on your own.

Finding good workout partner(s) with your same mindset, drive and focus can be a minor miracle in it's self. It's almost like having a team, that works together for a common goal. Good Luck.

I don't like and haven't had a training partner in YEARS for many of the reasons already stated here, and then some!
As far as being motivated, if the love of lifting and your own self competition isn't enough (and sometimes let's face it, it isn't), I use the thought that, "Somebody else is working their ass off while I'm slacking?  I won't be outworked!"  I don't compete, and don't compare my workouts to other's but it's still a great motivational tool for me...

Anyone got a good chest routine?

Here's my routine:

Three or four warm up sets of 8-12 reps incline dumbell presses.

Three or four sets of 8-10 reps of flat bench presses

Three sets of 8-10 reps of incline presses.

(Note: my gym has isolateral machines which I use for these last three exercises. This way I don't need a spot).

Three sets of weighted dips.

Four sets of pec deck or some other manner of flys. (I use a pec deck and/or a Nautilus incline pec machine).

Four sets of pullovers. (I use a Nautilus pullover machine)

Trust me, your pecs will be really pumped when your done.

Lately, i've been working on bringing up my upper pecs. I start with db incline 4 sets pyramiding the weight from 12 to 6.
Next, I use the hammer incline machine, 4 sets, same rep range. Then I do 4 sets of flat. Enough weight to get 10 reps for 4 sets.
Lastly, some type of fly, either machine or db.
