I'm assuming that we're in for yet another thread lecturing us on the grace and athleticism needed for the grand game of cricket, while denigrating the bumbling, over-paid cretins who play baseball. Time sure does fly.

In all fairness Cricket is about the most boring sport in the world, right after Golf, Snooker and Bodybuilding - wait BB'ing isn't a sport

Ha! Once had a drinking bud from India. And one Summer, we decided that he would teach me all about cricket and I would teach him about NFL football. Well, by the end of the Summer, we'd both agreed that the other's game was farking baffling and any love for it was beyond us.  ;D

sounds like the beginning of an interesting limerick  ;D

i'd watch American sport...except...its 1 American team playing another American team...i find that boring...if America were to play another country in a football game...i'd watch..and learn the rules...till then...its boring...
<btw..even with cricket..i can only tolerate watching it to an extent...watching others having fun and getting paid for it is not my idea of having fun myself...>

Just watched the first quarter final between Pakistan and the West Indies ...basically the West Indies got the shit kicked out of them and were bowled out for a misely 114 runs in 42 overs (they were not even able to play the regulation 50 overs).
The pakistanis made the 114 runs in 18 overs without the loss of a single wicket.

Next quarter final is tomorrow- India vs Australia....its gonna be interesting as both teams are equally matched.

beating West Indies isn't really a big deal..although they DID beat England...either way...pakistan faces India or Australia in the semi final...BOTH tough teams ..and since paki beat OZ recently...i know ponting will want revenge!

cricket is the most boring sport ever invented, its even as boring to play as it is to watch...
