I'll second that.....San Jose and the resorts in Quepos out on the coast are good hunting grounds.

Pretty inexpensive too.

Ahhh....the El Rey Patricio is a little "upper end" for finding the true local flavor.

Try the Blue Marlin bar in the Hotel Del Rey - drink water, take your vitamins.
