  This is awesome. Something like 7,000 men with heavy artillary and tanks to kill the bandits. They are the most well-armed criminals in the World and make the Mafia seem like the Girl Scouts in comparison.

  To take one of the "favelas"(shant town) they had to use 14 tanks, 40 armed vehicles with .50 machine guns and 7,000 men armed with automatic rifles and grenades, such is the power of the drug dealers. Even the elite squad of military police retreated when they tried to take over the shanty town such was the firepower of the criminals. The police armored vehicle had it's armory sunk in from over 3,000 rounds, and the police helicopter was shot down with anti-air batteries. Wow.

  The army and marines are invading the shanty towns with tanks and heavy artillary and slowly taking back them to the power of the state. In a few years, the war will be over although it is not a sure thing that the state will win.
