Title: Why Even Bother Getting "Guest Posers" At Local Shows?
Post by: BikiniSlut on April 02, 2011, 08:56:00 AM
They get paid $1500-$5000 depending. Do they really bring in this much extra revenue? Local shows are family and friends. I can't see others paying 50-100 dollars a ticket just to see a 4 minute guest posing appearance. Especially when they look 5-10 weeks out usually.

Maybe the promoter gets rights to all the loose change left on the stage by the schmomosexuals?

Many guest posers do get paid, but not that much. Besides a nominal guess appearance fee, there is usually hotel, flights and misc expenses (taxi, car, food).   It all depends where they are, who they are, etc.

As for guest posers, in the case of a top bodybuilding pros, people do enjoy seeing them on stage, especially if they pose nicely with some good music.   Many people that go see the NPC level based competitors do not necessarily go to see the pros, where the ticket prices are higher.

Most people enjoy a guest poser, it also tends to be a break in the action of the local level competitors.

Alot of guest posings are a part of bodybuilders contracts for whatever companies they work for. OR they are done as favours to the promoters i.e. the npc pittsburgh show where all the top bodybuilders guest pose for free for jim manion.

Thinking guest posers get paid is like thinking that bodybuilders get paid for photoshoots and that they get more then a $300 a month supplemens stipend for their supplement company contracts (if they still have one )
