repubs are lining up to admire his boldness - but they're very wise to stay far away from any details - a lot of "Rs" will lose their job in 2012 if they support these kinda slashes.
I love it how Ryan sucks up to his masters with the drop in taxes for corps from 35% to 25%... that's what GE needs... MORE tax breaks. LMFAO. Ryan wants to be the VP selection - this bill coddles him up to the rich donors, without a doubt.
-
Yeah lets cut the taxes for AIG etc..
How are you gonna cut something they dont pay as it is ???

This is only my opinion, but I think that Ryan is starting out asking for the moon, and willing to give things up as negotiations go along. Sanders is an admitted socialist who has a hard on for European style of government, so anything he says is to be taken with a grain of salt. I don't know where this guy has been, but this country is in dire straits, and cuts are going to have to come from everywhere.

Yeah, Ole' Bernie also voted for ObamaCare. So he should shut the fuck up.

$1.65 Trillion Dollar Deficit
$14 Trillion Debt
Record low Labor Participation Rate
Record level food stamps
Record level school loan debt
Inflation taking hold.
Anyone thingk there is an issue here?

Exactly
We both know politics is largely compromises.
Attacking Poul Ryan for this is just ridicilous.

Its a preemptive strike, to get this in the media and the populace riled up, with out knowing what is actually being proposed. Then if any compromise is made it looks like a win for the Dems, protecting the little guy.

God i hates this everything is done with a hidden agenda. Feels more and more like a reality show of sorts

What have the Democrats done to address the situation? To address record breaking and back breaking debt, deficit and spending levels? Crippling insolvent entitlements? A completely backwards and inefficient tax code?
-Obama's Budget addressed none of the grave problems facing the nation. Instead he proposed further increases in spending and relied upon phantom GDP growth numbers of close to 5%, the tax revenue growth that goes with them and U.E. down to 5-6% to justify further insane levels of spending. Of course those phantom numbers are not expected to happen.
-Obama and the Democrats have COMPLETELY ignored and ditched the recommendations of the bi-partisan Deficit Reduction Panel that was chosen by Obama himself. Not one of their recommendations or warnings were heeded.
-The Democrats haven't proposed a budget for the past fiscal year and the current fiscal year.

The sooner we realize that politicians don't give a shit about you, me, or the country the better off we will be. They care about personal power and wealth, the only time we the citizen matter is around election time.

Obama's refusal to back his own deficit commssion is one of the biggest mistakes he has yet to make IMHO.

i'm more than okay with slashing a shitload of social programs and yes, even medicare as this calls for. Ppl will be pissed, but we're broke.
33,
can you justify Paul Ryan cutting the corp tax rate from 35% to 25% in there?
I mean - aside from slashing all the money from social programs and not hitting the rich at all - he actually wants to toss in slashing their corp/rich tax by 10%. Do you support that part of Paul Ryan's bill?

The US already has the highest corporate tax rate in the world, and we wonder why corps seek out over sea's opportunities ::), there comes a point no matter how much the left hates it, that we realize no one is entitled to anything, and the federal government is not the answer.

We are flat fcking broke.
And paul ryan wants to cut their tax rate by 10%.
To me, that's bullshit. Start a new bill for that. Don't attach it to the 'save the economy' bill.
Ryan is sucking up to rich donors for future VP considerations, or maybe the head of the ticket in 2016. He knows what he's doing. Slash corp tax rates. insane. Completely insane.

And why are we broke? Because we aren't paying enough in taxes, or the Federal Government pisses money away like its free? You reduce the corp tax rate the logical conclusion is that more business is going to be willing to stay or come to US shores

i thought extending the bush tax cuts would do that.

Even under the Bush tax cuts the rate is 35% for corporations, still the highest in the world. What don't you understand about this? At 25% we are atleast matching China

Corporate Taxes only make up around 8% of total revenue. Now, what we don't know is what is changed withe the Corp. tax, loopholes closed? Anything else like that?
-
I would rather know that every business pays 25% rather then just a handful paying 35% and most others not paying any due to loop holes. Seems that way would generate way more money.

We need a very low but broad flat tax. no loop holes, no expmptions, nothing. Something like 10%
-
Same here EVERYONE pays. zero exceptions, but that will never happen cause special interest groups will play the race card, and claim the government is being unfair to some group of people. then all the pussies will start crying.
