P.J. Braun was arrested on March 28th, for a variety of narcotics and steroid charges. His arrest came as part of an investigation into the recently-busted steroid ring in Danbury, Connecticut. He is, as everyone knows, a top National Physique Committee competitor and a Species Nutrition sponsored athlete. Despite both of these facts,, I like P.J. Braun. I think he’s a nice guy (*based on my interactions with him on Facebook), and I know we’ve got a lot of mutual friends (*one, actually, Aaron Singerman). His arrest came as a result of his friendship with Mark Mansa, the alleged ringleader of the operation. PJ was, from what I’m seeing in the indictments and affidavits, using steroids and painkillers, but not involved in selling them.
Of course, as much as I like PJ, and don’t want to kick a guy when he’s down, I’m forced to wonder why in the world he’d continue to store illegal steroids and narcotics in his home, in the months following his buddies getting busted in a huge drug bust.
PJ’s arrest came as a result of a warrant being served on his residence, where officers and agents saw both narcotics (Percocet x 17 tabs) and anabolic steroids (Deca, Halo, and Proviron x 100 tabs). He was charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of prescription legend drugs, and three counts of possession of narcotics. There is also a sealed arrest warrant under his name, related to a drug possession charge from September of last year. As I’m not seeing any charges related to dealing/sourcing (*yet), it’s probable that PJ gets away with probation, as long as he grabs a decent lawyer.

When investigators entered Braun’s home March 28, they said they saw both narcotics and substances that proved to be steroids in plain sight, according to Wendel.
Police said the narcotic was Percocet, a prescription painkiller. The steroids were testosterone, and brand-name steroids Deca-Durabolin, Halotestin and Proviron.
Braun also was charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of prescription legend drugs, plus possession of narcotics, according to police.
He was released on a promise to appear Wednesday in state Superior Court on White Street.
The arrest warrant affidavit detailing the original marijuana possession charge against Braun has been sealed by the court. The only information available about the case indicated the possession charge stems from a September incident in Danbury.
All the charges indicate Braun was using the drugs, but he was not involved in selling them.
Calls to a phone number for Braun listed in court documents weren’t answered Monday, and it wasn’t known whether he has retained a lawyer.
Four people — Mansa, Brookfield businessman Glenn Wagner, convicted drug dealer Kevin Lubic, of Salem, N.Y., and Richard Sciacchetano, a Stuart, Fla., man with reputed ties to the Bonanno crime family — were indicted by a federal grand jury last month for distributing either marijuana or steroids to customers that authorities said included adults and high school athletes.
Only Mansa, a 46-year-old businessman from Bethel, was accused of participating in both rings.
Wagner, Lubic and Sciacchetano were indicted only on the marijuana-related charges, and both Sciacchetano and Wagner have denied participating in steroid sales.
During Mansa’s initial court appearance, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Vizcarrondo said that area high school athletes and people in “the muscle industry” were among Mansa’s clients who purchased steroids.
Mansa also has boasted that he had been protected by members of several area police departments, including Danbury, New Milford and Wilton, allegations that town officials and police spokesmen in those towns have vehemently denied.

If you use steroids for years, you have to expect to be pinched at least one time. However, I think PJ got arrested mainly due to the narcotics he had because cops don't really go after steroid users.

Women tend to fly in from NYC, Conn, and the Southern states, and include Brazil and PR as well...since BWI is one of the busiest airports, there are tons of businessmen, who need to get rid of their "anxiety" before their meetings...
Some women even have "specials", for they maybe there just for that weekend or week. Many of these women fall into the 19-22 range...and yes, look good as well. Rates are, likened to a McDonald's supersized meal---for what you get, you get a EXPLOSION, not a bang for your buck.

Sometimes it's commotion that happens in the rooms (argument or fight with the woman---whether it's over money or drugs, or services rendered) front desk may call the police--- then there is the pimps, which either beat the women or clients. Or women being held against their will. So, what happens is that local LE keeps their eyes out for potential shit that may happen

Thats not the issue, the issue is an active member (notice how I refrain from calling him an athlete) of the IFBB/NPC is involved in illegal activity and GOT CAUGHT on a felony charge. Besides being reprimanded by the law, he should also be reprimanded by the people who he's supposed to represent. As for a sensible drug policy? Try to convince a judge that smoking dope or alcohol is less dangerous than gear...it's ain't gonna happen.

The panel should consist of experts (real experts not bodybuilding "gurus") doctors, mainly endocrinologists, not just GP's or life extension doctors.

If meth, for example, were made legal would its effects on users be any less destructive? If zoophilia or pedophilia were made legal, would they be any less disgusting? Families are destroyed by drug use and it is a certainty that they would continue to be even if such drugs were made legal.
An example of a legal drug would be alcohol. The use of this legal drug has destroyed countless lives both the users and those that know and/or love them. There are taxes made on alcohol, are there not? There are no "cartels" but there are still problems directly related to alcohol. Problems that society must pay for. Drunk driving takes many lives does it not? It is illegal to drive drunk and yet people still do it so why not make it legal to drive drunk? Or at the very least should it be legal to drive drunk so long as when you have an accident you harm no one but yourself? That sounds fair, does it not? This would free up the courts for more important matters like the crimes of theft or murder. A meth or heroin addict dies from an overdose leaving behind their family. In the strictest sense they have harmed only themselves. Their family is still alive. No harm no foul. The life of a whore is a sad one and this is well documented from countless studies, but since they harm no one but themselves and provide such "pleasure" to others, how can it be wrong to hook ones body for money? If they are an addict, so much the better as that too is legal. In legalizing drugs, prostitution and the like you really don't eliminate the negatives.
Its like white washing a tomb. It may look nice and clean on the outside but on the inside its still full of death.
But why stop there? Since alcohol is legal why not just take the shining example of it and make all drugs and crimes legal or at least the ones that the public finds within themselves and wishes to now tolerate until such time as they are directly impacted by the results of such use (e.g., they are robbed, hit by a drunk driver or somehow harmed by a meth "enthusiast").

Alcohol IS a drug... you're right... AND it's legal.
Other drugs will cause no more harm than alcohol and in most cases LESS harm than the laws used to "enforce" it's crime.... Money to cartels and the wars on the borders for instance.
The numbers on Alcholo related car crashes are TOTALLY inflated and that's common knowledge... So using that as a basis doesn't really bring much to the table unless you're a proponent of MADD.
Would meth heads be dead if meth were illegal? Sure... but guess what... More people die from legal prescription drugs and no one says a thing.
The fact is, people who choose to use drugs do not care what the legality is... They just use them.
None of this factors in the cost of tax dollars being wasted to enforce these laws and incarcerate people for violating these drug laws which have no direct impact on society as a whole.
If your fried dies or ruins his life, that sucks, but my life doesn't change... If your friend gets incarcerated, then my tax dollar has to pay for him.
I see a difference in social impact and interpersonal impact.
Fact is, drug laws don't stop anything and only cost more money.
I'm much like Chaos... I rarely drink and I don't use any other drug except for the occasional excedrine for a headache. So drug laws in general don't affect me, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to the hypocrisy, nor the expense that comes out of my pocket to incarcerate people who will do me no harm.

I too have been hurt by the abuse of alcohol. I've dealt with F.A.S and a host of other problems both family and work related. Alcohol should be a prescription drug.
It is by far one of the easiest to obtain, the cheapest to buy, the most un-monitored, and the most devastating and abused drug out there, none of which makes any sense, unless of course...

Like myself, he's against drugs, both "recreational" and "performance enhancing". Like most friends from years gone by, I sometimes wonder how he's doing.

My analogies are correct. It is fact that no law will prevent any crime from being committed. It is personable responsibility born of good character that does so. People want to do what they want to do and if there is a law against said behavior, then the irresponsible people out there will do their best to circumvent (read: ignore) that law.
Too bad that many people only feel responsible (but rarely personally so) if they're caught and even then that is rare. The ubiquitous "everyone's doing it", or the race card/abused child/mentally challenged defenses comes to mind...

After reading all your intelligent illegal/legal drug pro/con comments, I still find myself to be undecided one way or another.
But I have to butt in here because I have finally found a drug mentioned on this GetBig Board that I can relate to.

Until recently I had NEVER taken anything stronger than an asperin!
And I know absolutely nothing about drugs, their names, their potency, nor their illegal street-market value.
But due to a recent operation I received a prescription for a numerous supply of Percocet (spelling) and in real small letters on the very small label it said ... "Take one tablet every six (6t) hours AS NEEDED."
I failed to read the "as needed" part and over the next three or four days I took one percocet EVERY six hours as UN-NEEDED.
I will admit that the pain was almost nil but everything else turned to shit.
So I visited my doc in a foggy, hazy condition and complained that these damn pills were fucking me up big time (always thirsty, everything tasted like cod liver oil, occasional dizzy spells ..... and I really had no appetite).
So thanks to my doc I discovered that I was taking way too many of these damn pills and was instructed to read the label more carefully, so now I am down to about one percocet every four days AS NEEDED.
It really surprises me that these damn pills are so much in demand on the 'street' .... $10 to $20 a pill and in some places much higher.
To me they are absolutely useless except to lessen pain.
Unrelated question ..... Is it humanly possible that MORPHINE shots have no affect on the decrease of pain?
I was accused of being 'crazy' when I told the medics that .... "That's not gonna help!"
But they shot me up anyway!
