It's probably just that IFBB is US-based organization and CIA don't want competitive Russians to step on stage... Russian winning a major pro contest on American soil would be disastrous for US propaganda officials...

I agree. Lee was the best 21 yr old by far for years to come. He competed at Mr. Olympia at 22 in the best era, tough competition. Alexey competes with nobodies lol and struggles to make top 6. LMFAO.

For me, Lesukov looks great in gym shots (no homo), but looks nowhere near as impressive in stage shots alongside others.

FYI:
Lee Priest was big in bodybuilding. He won several pro shows later in his career.
In his younger years, he didn't win but placed pretty well. His best placing at Olympia was 6th.
He has been on mags often, made covers... even in his early days... many supplement contracts, huge fan-base... Guy was really popular - somewhat still is...
Biggest problem was his big mouth. He talked too much. That cost him a lot.
Though he had few disadvantages on his physique; not-so-good chest and his legs were often little smooth...

He won one or two shows, placed top 6 in the Mr. O several times (due to popularity), place ahead of a shitty Levrone at the Arnold a couple of times, place behind Cormier and Dex at other shows, considering that---he did well. If you break him down, he had great arms, good abs, good legs, calves--shitty chest, long torso, great delts, okay back.

This. Just look at the f.ing video, Priest was ALL ARMS. No chest, no back, no delts - just arms arms arms. More all arms then Heath.
The russian kid is already pretty complete with no lagging bodyparts (legs maybe a tad behind).

Because Russians are old fashioned compared to North Americans and don't like stupid shit that doesn't help mother Russia. And bodybuilding is more common in a democratic country, where senseless activities like are more accepted. I don't think they care about glamor and flash/looks as much as we do here either.

no way, priest is shorter and competed at a higher weight, at a much better condition. The guy at certain time was a top 6 (or 7, dont remember) olympia, even placing ahead of Coleman one year before he nailed the Sandow.

Yeah hes all that and more but hes just too puny at 5' fuck or whatever he is. More proof that the short body builders are superior and I think he would blast Jay Cutler into orbit they they ever compared guns hes. he'll never be Mr O sadly because hes too stubby but he still has a physique that makes even the littlest of body builders envious. he looks like shit in the offseason and closer to 4 feet stacked because of the width, looks great in photo shoots but puny around the big dudes.
There are pros and cons for everything I guess.
