The key is his body when he looked good was a small waist combined with a good back with low lats. He also came in sharp.
He never had the roundness to get away with the increased waist size especially in the arms.
He forgot bodybuilding is about illusion.

Good post. He was typically built to look good only at a lower than 210 body weight and probably more 202. Couldn't handle any extra mass. Frame and overall genetics not suited for that. He shoud have focused on density, conditioning, proportions and could have placed well for years, pretty much like Darrem Charles did. I think he thought his place was amongst the top 6 at the 'O every year, which he clearly didn't have the genetics for.

Yes I do find it weird when people stay on the juice to be monsters without competing but who gives a shit, steroids aren't that dangerous compared to many other things in life

2001 Mr.O looked very good.
Got very heavy in 2002, dieted for the Mr.O and had to go to extremes in the last few weeks to come in in condition. Dropped to 238 when he was 245 the year before (kinda stupid to get heavy to go backwards).
Never really recovered from that opening season. He probably tried to force the size when he had maxed out and should have worried more about quality and condition and keeping the waist down.

:-X OK well the main thing was diet AND with King it all depended on what weight he competed at. Take a look at the NY Pro in 2008? I think it was. His waist was tiny again after a while of being criticized about having a huge gut. I think he came in at around 237. Now fast forward to his last show where he weighed around 248 again not exact but close. (I trained him for both these shows as far as diet.) At this weight his waist was still flat but he had a bigger overall waist at that weight. Of course this happens to all of them. As you get heavier your waist gets bigger, no way around it.
