I don't like the EPA, they are another alphabet agency created by the federal government that seems to have carte blanche to make policy. The head of the EPA is not elected, he is appointed......

I went to a talk with former NJ gov Chirstine Todd-Whitman who served as former Pres W Bush's EPA secretary (2000-2002).
She was promoting her book and I got to ask her a couple questions on this issue.
She claimed that the Bush admin didn't want numerical minimum standards for various harmfull chemicas like lead or mercury.
She ressigned due to this and felt it was pretty tough to enforce only "qualitative" standards when dealling with harmfull substances.

Guess who is going to pay for that clean air, water, and food? The Dems are in favor of every new law and regulation, unless they have to pay for it.
