He won the German Nationals to turn pro. The IFBB is full of guys who won their countries' national title, where the competition isn't quite as stiff as that of the USA.

So far, he's done better in the pro ranks than some NPC USA or Nationals winners (can you say Aaron Maddron or Ken Brown?).

Apparently, winning the German Junior Nationals and/or IFBB World Junior championships makes you pro-card eligible. That would be similar to the TU winner getting a pro card, would it not?
