AFter re-caulking an area on my outdoor water fountain it rained before the 72 hour curing period was over. I had covered it, but the cover fell off in the storm.
Should I wait longer before filling the fountain w/water or should it be "safely" cured by now? I did this 5 days ago. It feels dry to the touch.
My main concern is that animals will be drinking out of the fountain and I guess I just want to make sure that the silicone is fully cured or whatever so it won't leech poison into the water.
Thanks!

Get the neighbour's dog to drink out of it first and see what happens. If it lives, you know you're good.

Maybe we could get Old Rooster instead ???

Old Rooster drinks from the tap, not fountains...

Your sealant is probably a silicone base so will set pretty quickly. If not sure than run another caulking bead around it again.

Walked right into that one!! ;D
But he's right, if you're concerned, just lay down a new bead.
