Dandelions have a long history of medicinal use. The first written mention of this is in Arabian medical texts of the 10th and 11th centuries.

Dandelion is known for its diuretic properties. The French word for dandelion is pissenlit which means "pee in bed". Because of the plant's high potassium content, it doesn't have the potassium-depleting side effect that is common with many diuretic drugs.

Dandelion is highly esteemed as a remedy for liver problems. It is also recommended for treatment of urinary, kidney, and digestive disorders.

The white sap of the dandelion stem is believed to be healing to the skin.

When i held a lot of water from juicing i took Dandelion Root as a supplement.

Fuck me did it flush the water out, like a pound a day for 5 days straight. Couldn't be away from the bathroom though.

Did nothing when i stayed leaner.

How many calories?

If I want bulk on dandelions next fall, how many should I consume? Let's say for... 3500* calories...???

*) Yes. I eat 3500 calories on off-season though "muscularny" claims even Jay Cutler can't possibly down that much LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

In South Jersey, Italian Americans eat Dandelion salad regularly, when it is "in season".
The kind that grows on your yard is more bitter and tougher than the more tender version that is farmed.
The most common salad is made with hard boiled egg, some bacon and a nice vinagrette.
