I wonder why they would suspect his children---isn't one of his daughter's a doctor? So she would have money of her own? And wouldn't foul play be investigated by the police?

RIP. Always admired his physique since I was a kid looking through Arnolds Encyclopedia. Underrated in bodybuilding because he was always quiet.

One of my favorite physiques of all time that has actually has inspired me to train. Impressive guy in to his elder days and he represented a full but somewhat more streamlined look that has vanished today.

I met and interviewed Serge a few weeks before he was put in a coma back in 2009. He was a really nice guy who seemed to genuineley love bodybuilding and was keen to get on stage and guest pose at the Arnold that year. Very sad to hear he has passed.
When I met him he seemed a robust and capable man for 73.

RIP. I met Serge in 1977 doing seminar in Toronto for my boss Ken Wheeler. He was training hard for a WBBG show, and saw him train for few days prior to seminar. Old Bruce Page, a writer for IronMan, taped TIGHT Serges arm after an arm workout, and i witnessed a true 21 1/4" measure. Pecs, delts/traps, arms were outrageous for such a small boned taller guy. His waist looked only slightly bigger than his arms in his tight weight training belt.....

I am just back from a week away and have just heard the news!!!!
I promoted Serge's last seminar here in the Uk and spent a week with him beforehand - He was a gentleman and a legend. Unlike a lot of today's bodybuilders, he insisted on paying his way and even insisted that me and the venue kept most of the proceeds of the product sales from the seminar. He was just grateful of the increased publicity and chance to promote his biography. We trained and several gyms in London that week and he had time for everyone who wanted to speak to him. We witnessed him training in his inspirational way and he even let one guy measure his arm (nearly 21 inches at 70 years old!!!!) He told many many stories of his times in the 60's and 70's and was just a delight to know. We'll miss you Serge - You were THE physique of the 20th Century.

Serge, as many of you Getbiggers have already pointed out, had an excellent physique, not only for his time but for all time. Serge will remain an inspiration to me, working out and still looking great at seventy years of age. I am only seven years younger than Serge.
It is impressive that so many Getbiggers have posted their condolences and kind thoughts regarding Serge in this thread.

I listened to alot of Arnolds advices from that book and wasted alot of time and energy with them. Hundreds of wasted hours doing certain things that my genetics didnt even allow for.

Arnold was a Weider puppet. Do you really think he wrote his own books? when i hear his speaches i think "how shit his English is". Look and listen to his films, he talks VERY basic English. I know of only one HOMO who would lick his balls and thatīs "Hench" alias "Traps" in IRON AGE old farts Forum. "Hench" alias "Traps" is a little fucking sneak who posts here and then reports back to Bob the fucking knob Scalise in "Aronld Age" ...sorry Iron age forum.

He wrote it. Serge knew some English and could be fairly detailed like that when he wanted. He tended away from wordiness because it seemed he felt he shouldn't have to repeat himself, so he'd usually answer a question with "I already said this", etc.
Maybe he was mad because it made him realize that not everyone was hanging on every word he wrote and said. But his stories about 7 pounds of horsemeat, etc. probably didn't help the situation.
Whatever, RIP to the Great Serge. I wish his final few years were better.

The issue was brought up by some of Serge's oldest friends.
I don't know why it seems so hard to determine whether something irregular happened. I suppose because stuff like this is up to the cops, and if the cops are unaware, incompetent, in cahoots or just plain unconcerned or uninvolved for whatever reason, then the victim is simply S.O.L., twice over.

Just seems weird, here in the US they'd do an autopsy in the first couple days if there was even a question, and we'd have a quick answer to whether or not anything fishy went on. :-\

I totally agree. But Serge's daughter is supposedly very skilled with things medically, so it makes me wonder whether an autopsy would reveal anything to begin with. And despite the alarm from Serge's closest friends, those that knew him best, there hasn't even been any meaningful investigation during the entire period - or any investigation at all that I'm aware of.
It is frustrating, especially since the family had chosen to ignore all Serge's fans and other concerned people, while the bogus paragraph that was posted on the website was supposed to suffice (it basically said "Serge is incapacitated and therefore we are suspending the site").
Removing the content from his site appeared to be a hidden dig of some sort, because most reasonable people would agree that either preserving the site or even adding content would be a more appropriate gesture at a time like that. The implied psychology behind that move is chilling.

Sorry I thought you meant you'd been banned twice. I've never been a member on ironage as I dont think i'd last long. Been reading it most days for about 10 years tho, dont have to be a member for that... :D Seems to be the same 1% who post mostly.
It has great stuff from my time, 1970's and 80's. I do know that a few of the administrators had a falling out a couple of years ago and some of them left to form another site. Dont know if that sites still on the go but i'm surprised Ironage survived its key members leaving like they did. So ur not the only one who falls out with them ;D

Well for me apart from Mark Mills and Deanna Panting( who was always nice ) the rest are Knobs. There are some good Guys on there but they all lick ass and when you say or write something "they" donīt like they Ban you.
