It's got nothing to do with his name. I remember him from the mid-90s. He turned pro by winning his country's national championship (Turkey, I think). He competed in the IFBB for a couple of years, most notably the 1996 Night of Champions, where his striations were the talk of the show.
The reason you don't hear about him anymore is because he forfeited his pro card to compete in the IFBB World Amateur Championships (aka the Mr. Universe). Unless the rules have changed, once you forfeit an IFBB pro card, you can't get it back.
He isn't the first guy to do that. a number of pros (particularly from the Middle East) have done that to compete in the Universe. Winning your class at the Universe is a big deal in many countries and those competitors that do often get more fame and money than they would as regular IFBB pros.
Aykutlu competed in the 1998 Mr. Universe as a light-heavyweight. He won his class and the overall title, defeating heavyweight Mustafa Mohammad (who had a memorable shot of his standing in tears, after winning his class and his pro card).
