 I bet he was megadosing pretty hard.

 People always talk like Arnold was just doing it healthy and low dose, but I doubt it.

A chemical experiment using big doses of the chemicals available to him at the time. Let's not pretend for a minute that AS wasn't the type to take whatever and however much to be a the top of the tree.
