The Doors suck but people really are damn strange, particularly when you get to know them.  Total fuckin' oddballs every last one.

the DOORS ARE ROCK! greatest rock band of all time! truly legendary, one great song after another. plus, they used all the elements of what rock was/is supposed to be, great frontman (best of all time), great lyrics, music elements, from keyboards to acid guitar, use of blues and jazz mixed with regular rock sensibilities, etcetera.

back then and even now, unique and original sounding.

hell yeah, i like them especially compared to the other "giant' groups of the day. beatles, beach boys, the stones.

beatles: great pop band, greatest perhaps of all time, but more pop than rock

beach boys: bubble gum "safe" pop music

stones: closest to the doors, but in reality not that deep and edgy like the doors.

only knock on the doors is that they weren't along very long.
