Title: Need supplement advice
Post by: HERACLES on May 16, 2011, 04:04:05 PM
I have gone back on lmy low calorie high protein diet and I am looking to do something different for supplementation. I was on ultimate whey for a long time and nothing else. The only other thing I would take would be mulitvitamin and glutamine.
Should I do the same if I am looking to get lean again? Or is there any better option for protein on such a diet?

Depends what u can afford. A few shakes a day is probably the cheapest if youre wanting say 6 high protein meals.Other than that itd prob cost alot and be time consuming making all solid foods throughout the day presuming you work etc.
Egg whites, chicken, fish, turkey, all the usual stuff, theyre all healthy clean foods

On the supplement end, there are very good protein powders these days, most of which mix, taste, and digest well.
The key for your needs may be finding one that is lower in carbs, fat, and overall calories.
Although I like products like Muscle Milk and Syntha-6, I’ll choose “leaner” powders when I wish to tighten up.

Optimum makes good blends in that category.
Their whey, casein, and Pro-Complex are all very good, and I know many people who consistently rely on them for excellent results.

been using On 100% Whey and Pro-Complex and Hydro for years and cant complain.

just now for a change im trying Dymatize ISO-100.

and its not bad either.

just try not making them your food source rather than temporary fix or PWO.
