No, this isn’t a thread about tiers for muscle escorts; it is about expensive hotels. IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn was staying in a Sofitel suite in New York for $3000 per night when he allegedly molested a maid. Who was paying for that hotel? Was he paying with his own money? That is hard to believe. Was IMF money being used? I bet it was being expensed to the IMF. If not, exactly who was footing the bill? From what I know, people who stay in hotels like that do not stay for one night—they stay for at least a week! Do the math.
How much would you pay for an upscale hotel? I like to travel as much as the next guy, but I decided some time ago that I will not pay more than $350 per night no matter how nice a hotel is!

Not as fancy as the original post... but in January I was in Vegas for business, and staying at the Bellagio, the hotel fucked up my booking for 4 nights, so to compensate me, they gave me an $800 suite for $275....
The suite was on the 38th floor VIP level, it was 1500 Square Feet, had THREE bathrooms, each bathroom had an LCD flat screen TV, also had a Jacuzzi, a shower, and a Steam room! Plus they gave me a card to bypass the entry line at the buffet!
Was fucking amazing!

THIS photo from page one of this topic (and shown below) is actually one of the newer rooms in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel.
Friends had identical rooms overlooking the gigantic HR pool complex which is most likely the most outstanding pool complex in the US.
They got a series of identical rooms for the weekend Rehab Pool Party and it was party time 24/7 Thursday/Friday/Saturday/ and even Sunday at the pool and in the rooms.
Poolside cocktails in a private cabana were $3,000+ and room service came to an additional $3,500.
Now this same group is making plans to book the Playboy Suite at the Palms or possibly a Poolside Suite during one of their big time party weekends.

Around 57% of French adults questioned by survey firm CSA thought that was the explanation for the accusations of sexual assault and attempted rape faced in America by the would-be French presidential candidate.
When it comes to Socialist supporters, 70% accept the “plot” theory.
The survey also showed French people do not think the scandal has ruined Socialist Party hopes for winning the presidential elections next year.
In total, 54% thought they would win, rising to 70% for Socialist voters.
Nonetheless, those questioned thought Nicolas Sarkozy was the biggest political beneficiary of Mr Strauss-Kahn’s arrest, followed by the Front National’s Marine Le Pen, then Socialist François Hollande.
Most thought the second round of next year’s elections would see Sarkozy up against Hollande or Socialist Party head Martine Aubry. However, should the Socialists opt to elect Ségolène Royal as their candidate, then Sarkozy would face Le Pen instead, the survey said.
Mr Strauss-Kahn is being detained in one of the world’s largest prison complexes, Rikers Island, in New York, where he is said to have been placed on a suicide watch. As a well-known figure, he is also being accompanied by a guard at all times when in contact with other prisoners, for his safety.
A jury will meet next week to hear the elements of the prosecution case to decide whether or not a formal charge should go ahead. Mr Strauss-Kahn will then have to appear before the New York Supreme Court to hear the decision, at which point, if charged, he will plead guilty or not guilty.
His lawyers have said he intends to lodge a “not guilty” plea. They also plan to appeal against the decision not to allow him bail.
