Holy fuck, now this a perfect physique. The 1993 NPC Nationals was definitely Dennis' best shape ever. Even though his skeletal frame was perfect and he had lots of mass an aesthetics, Dennis problems were always his conditioning and balance problems between his upper and lower body. If his legs and also back could match the rest of him and he came in with this conditioning, he would have been Mr.Olympia.

Dennis Newman had everithing needed to be the great bodybuilding star!
Killer physique!
Handsome facial feature, problably the most goodlooking bodybuilder since Steve Revees!
Too bad leukemia stopped him when just started his pro career.
He had the ultimate look that bodybuilding magazine needed to promote the sport!

Yeah, I liked his physique, too. Had it all. He's competing again, you know. Said so in FLEX mag. ( not that I truly believe what FLEX says to be true ).
If I remember correctly, Newman was pretty big into rec. drugs as well. Oh, well. Should be interesting to see what he looks like nowadays.

We had lunch with Dennis a couple of weeks ago and although he wasn't in the contest shape shown in the above video, he's still looking damn impressive.
I'll give Dennis a call to see if he wouldn't mind giving you GetBiggers an update.
Hell of a great person by the way.
And I agree that Dennis was among the BEST of all time. Even when he was a young kid training at Fort Ord he was totally unreal. Unbelievable in fact!

Yep, he had what it takes to be Mr.Olympia: the perfect skeletal frame with torso, clavicle and legs all in proportional length, round muscle belies with good shape and lots of mass. His only problems in terms of physique was that some muscle groups were out of proportion with each other and he lacked conditioning on most of the shows he competed at. If he could bring his legs and back to match his huge arms and pecs and came in ripped, he'd be Mr.Olympia - assuming he never had leukemia.

Your OCD is making me wonder if you once posted as LuciusFox. He became quite obsessed with "Meltdown."

Surely you jest? And no, I am no calling your Shirley. Given your "logic", you have an obsession with the letter "O" as words or acronyms using that letter appear more often than other letters in your stunning reply/rebuke quoted above. But then counting never was my strong suit, just as psychology is definitely not yours. WTF?
There. Feel better now?

IRON, regarding your "competing this year?: question ..... I did not ask, but he sure looked like he could prepare for a contest pretty easily.
If I get an opportunity to talk to him soon, I'jj ask for specific compeitive info regarding that subject.

What happened to Dennis and his comeback is an example to everyone how much modern day bodybuilders need HGH obviously due to his cancer issues Dennis could never consider taking HGH again in his comeback, but it was something that he took in this show, Dennis never got anywhere near the same condition on just using steroids on their own, just an observation.
-
Dennis had a great physique but prob would have fallen into the trap....upping the doses, and ruining his physique like Titus and Prince did

Am I the only one who thinks that adding GH and insulin does not actually add any mass to a bodybuilder's physique? Most of the weight gain seems to be intestinal gut. Ronnie was 30 lbs heavier at the 2003 Olympia than at the 1998 Olympia, and yet little of that was lean muscle. Most of it was gut growth and fat and water as his conditioning was worse.
GH + insulin = lots of physique quality loss for a little mass gain.
Not worth it...

they put so much hype and marketing into him, he was the sucessor to yates, just a matter of time
when he got leukemia, weider probably sued him for breach of contract...
