Transcript: Al Gore Got ‘D’ in ‘Natural Sciences’ at Harvard
Cybercast News Service ^ | 5/24/11
In his commencement speech at Hamilton College on Sunday, former Vice President Al Gore told the graduates that global warming is “the most serious challenge our civilization has ever faced.” But as an undergraduate at Harvard University in the late 1960s, Gore--one of the most prominent spokesmen on climate change today--earned a “D” in Natural Sciences.
Gore’s transcript documents that during his sophomore year at Harvard he earned a "D" in Natural Sciences 6 (Man’s Place in Nature). Also, as a senior at Harvard, he earned a C-plus in Natural Sciences 118.
Gore, along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his work on global warming.

Mccain graduating 894 our of 899 at the naval academy is irrelevant.
Palin's attending 5 college for a BS in journalism is not indicative of her intelligence.
But Gore's grade in one class from when he was 19 years old is completely telling here!
-
McCain and Palin were never sold as intellectuals and thinkers, not to mention Nobel Prize winners in science.
lmao.
-
The genius Al Gore also dropped out of law school.

You would elect someone president that you didn't consider to be a thinker or an intellectual?
Oh my goodness.
-
D=F at Harvard.

Yes. I want Patton - not a panzie and pussy.
I want a doer, not a "thinker" like obama supposedly is who is all wrapped up in bullshit to never get Aanything productive done but chaos.

bush was a doer and not a thinker - were you happy with his performance in wars and economy?
clinton (as much as I dislike him) was a rhodes scholar (and a thinker not a doer)- how was the economy under him?

::) ::)
Unbelievable that you try to simplify things in such a way. Tell me EXCATLY what c;linton did to make the economy so good as you call it? Give me specifics.

The budget deals he made with the congressional Republicans were significant, but not nearly as significant as the tax increase on the wealthy that he passed, without a single Republican vote, in his first budget in 1993.
Voting to raise taxes on the rich was the crucial step toward fiscal responsibility and a long period of high employment, national prosperity and international prestige. There is no other way to stabilize the budget without inflicting grave damage on our future.

So tax increases are what started the DOT Com boom?

I never said that.

I never said that.
The dot com boom and the GOP reigning in Clinton are what helped balance the budget, along with welfare reform, not tax increases. Govt took in MASSIVE capitals gains receipts on stock sales.
BTW - funny how you never mentioned clinton signing glass steagal.

Oh my goodness.
There are many intellectuals that are full of theories and no application or real world experience. For an example, see the failure known as Barack Hussein Obama. It used to be that for someone to get elected, they had to show some level of competence or prior work experience AND be a thinker. Now, community organizers who can read off teleprompters are good enough.

LOL. I knew before opening this thread that there would be at least one liberal apologist defending and/or deflecting this very funny story. :)
