This is usually a solidly red area. I'm sure Paul Ryan didn't help.

You should hear the goofies on HP. They're acting as if they just regained the House. I guess they haven't figured out that winning one seat, after bleeding 63 of them, doesn't quite work add up to a mandate.
-
this Ryan plan is poison. Serious 2012 contenders don't want to touch it with a ten foot pole. Endorsing it means you potentially piss off a bunch of seniors. Dissing it, and suddenly you have Rush and friends destroying you ala Newt.
I predict the 2012ers just keep on dodging this shitty bill.

Amazing how dumb people are. Medicare is trillions in the hole and ryans plan did not even affect people over 55.
But let's keep playing games and racing off the cliff. Sounds great.

Cut spending elsewhere. Or don't hand off those giant tax cuts that Ryan loved.
But for anyone 54 and under, this is a pretty huge fricking deal. Vouchers? No!!!!

Hopefully the Repubs will decide this one election means nothing and will keep promoting an agenda that benefits multinational corporations at the expense of 98% of the human beings in the country who live, work and vote.
BTW - keep having those token votes on things like the Ryan budget that are really nothing more than loyalty tests to the Party. These kinds of votes are a great help to the Dems so please keep tossing them softballs
BTW2 - as more and more Repubs distance themselves from the Ryan budget it's going to be fun watching Newton flip flop on his flip flop and remind us that he was agaisnt it before he was for it

Straw once again proving to be the biggest fool on this board. How is ge goldman aig jpm all doing under bama?

Obama and the dems were just as guilty in pushing that so called agenda so claim to hate you dope. GE, GS, JPM, CITI, AIG, bailouts on end and you have the balls to claim its only the GOP? How freaking dumb are you Oh wait . . . .
We cant afford these programs anymore, they are broke. And crippling businesses to pay for these scams and ponzi schemes is only going to make matters far worse.

nice grouping of the talking points
dont worry
this election doesn't mean anything
the Repubs just need to keep pushing that agenda and everything will turn out fine

Kloppenberg agrees.
Another thing -you dont even live hear. The state is gone, just like California, illinois, and the rest of demo dominated states.
And this demo git 47%! you think that is some mandate or something? LMAO. Withou the kook who spent2 millio on attack ads and got 9%, the repub would have won.

no
I said it means nothing
don't worry
everyone still loves the Repugs and the Repug agenda
The fact that Hochel is only the 4th Democrat to win this seat since 1857 is irrelevant
btw - great point about me not even living near there (or "hear" as you put it)
It's funny how that never stopped you from posting about California or any other state where you don't reside
-
So it was 47% to 43% with some life long Democrat running as a Tea Party candidate for the sole purpose of scamming some voters into voting for him and not the Republican candidate....and the fraudulent "Tea Party" candidate garnered 9% of the vote....sooooo whats the big deal? The Dem's had to stoop to a new low to get their guy elected. Not what I would call a "sea of change"
Shouldn't that be illegal? Not that it stops the Democrats from doing this sort of thing, I'm just saying.

it's not big deal
The Repubs shouldn't worry about it and just keep doing what they're doing
btw - what was the new low by the Dems?
telling the truth about the Repubclian candidate?
-
Funny straw - because the iamb under obamacare is going to do exactly what the stupid scare tacticvs accused ryna of.

So now it's like what, 240 Republicans to 193 Dems, hahahaha.
Yeah, this is real meaningful.
Keep pimping Obamacare though...worked out so well for you guys in the last election. lol

Sorry - posting from iPad. There is this supposed Medicare advisory board that is going to exactly what the deems were screaming about with regard to granny. Either way, we all know there is no mathematical formula to where we can afford all the promises we have made without cutting, means testing, increasing age limit, or a combo of the above.

Joe Klein: NY-26 Was A "Victory For Socialism"

"It was a victory for socialism," TIME's Joe Klein said of last night's election result in NY-26. A Democrat won a special election to fill a vacancy in the U.S. House from a very conservative district in New York.
For the last two years, Republicans have been lambasting Barack Obama who is right in the middle of the political spectrum, a mild liberal, as being a wild-eyed socialist. Well, there ain't anything that he has proposed that is purely socialistic as our Medicare program; a single payer program run by the government. And the folks love it," Klein also said.

well that should be easy for the Repubs to exploit and along with all the other terrible things that Obama has done they should be able to run your dream team of Vandersloot and Madoff and win with ease in 2012
should be a cake walk for Repubs
I don't understand why no viable candidate wants to run
Shit if nothing else they can just show how he is a secret commie intent on collapsing the nation and it's lights out for Obama

Now that's something to be proud of! ::)
Just when I think Straw Man can't make himself look like a bigger dipshit he goes and proves me wrong.

I would vote for madoff vandersloot over obama.

Newflash morons-- This ditz won the election because a democrat blew several million of his own money to run as a phony tea party candidate. The scumbag who pulled that off got roughly 8% of the vote. That 8% is what won the election (that and pathetically untruthful scare tactics by Hochul's campaign).
See guys? The democrats cannot win on the issues. They cannot win on reality. They can only win by conspiring, cheating, collusion with the main stream media, scare tactics and illegality. And even when all of the aforementioned skulduggery is used simultaneously ( IE Wisconsin) the pathetic left wing still manages to lose. This election and the underhanded tactics that were used to steal this seat will come back to haunt the democratic party. Believe it.
-
WOW. You know, the Democrats continiously make me feel naive. Just when I think I have seen it all, they stoop to a new low.
Unfortunately it does seem like the Dems's demagougery of Ryan's plan is having SOME effect. I personally think it still wont matter when 2012 rolls around with high gas prices and grocery prices.
I just got a raise of $2.00 more an hour about 3 months ago, and it already feels like its getting eaten up.
The amount of opposition to medicare reform disgusts me. It makes me want to vomit. I would like to go up to every single one of these people, get in their face, and tell them, "Look, you thought medicare as it exists today was going to be there for you. It's not. Your'e a shmuck. Deal with it. If you have to, go live under a bridge and die like a man."
