Interesting notes -
Canada pays slights higher taxes on average than the US (30.3 - 29.7), but their population receives health coverage. Australia has lower taxes and maintains a two tier system for health care. Americans pay less income tax now than in 2000.
Belgium taxes 55% of income.
-
Our biggest problems are bloated government, wasteful spending, pork barrel spending etc.
Get rid of that crap and we could have a Universal Health Care System, with out slavery :D
and we wouldn't have to raise taxes.

neither party will go near cutting spending. Why? cause they would alienate ppl who pay their bills with that pork. You start slashing worthless govt jobs or researchers studying mice balls all day, and you suddenly have a lot of people changing their votes.

dems just wanna borrow more.
repubs just want to totally screw over people on medicare, but stall it for ten years.
neither in 2008 would list ANY program that they planned on cutting.
I'd respect any repub who said "i'mma cut these 75 programs once I get in", but I know he'd lose the election for said cuts.
Nobody will cut ANYTHING. It's that simple.

Did you take the time to read the limitations of the study and the warning about comparative analysis?

Of course it has limitations but it's a great guideline and puts to rest the nonsense that health care is unaffordable.
