I hope few people do :-X

Kai was dominant, by far...not at 100 , and shouldn't have been. He'll give a good run at the O.
roelly needs a break...
Rockel is off till the O, needs a rest...gotta give credit for holding condition since the beginning of the year
Ben White blew a great chance...whatever program he's following, he needs to change it...quick.
Craig Richardson continues to improve, Q for his 5th Olympia...
lionel Beyeke looked awesome, with a little refinement, he will be a top contender...very Flex Wheeler- like in his structure, now has size to go with it...
Jose and Flex are a great match up...this one went to Jose, was spot on...I think the increase to the 212 next year will benefit Flex the most...
great showing for Burneika...came in shape, was rewarded
cedric needs to sit out the O, and take the year to get back to his best....for next year. Genetics are amongst the best out there
Jason Huh missed a great opportunity, needs to refine and come in better condition....should consider the Toronto Pro/ Hartford/ Tampa...best routine and display of the bunch
Show was well attended and we finished in less than 3 hours....NY always has the best fans
-
Some mean person on GB claim that the show was not sold out. Can you prove them wrong, Bob Chick?
-
It wasnt sold out...but it was close, and a very good turnout...especially on Memorial Day weekend

Well they showed some pictures of a half full area but the prejudging audience is almost always much smaller than the night show.

PJ was half full, as it always is....especially to those of us that know NY traffic...most people won't travel in twice in the day, as traffic is a nightmare on Sat eve....or if you go to PJ, you're stuck there until night
most people choose the finals to come...
-

true, i think he's been forced to sacrifice some lower body size and fullness to fit current 202 limit...same with some other "taller midgets" like correa who unfortunately looks to be unable to compete this year...if comes 100% in 2012 i think he's the one with a realistic chance to beat english...we'll see

Isn't this format outdated? Judging a bodybuilding show isn't that difficult and can be done in one shot. Since PJ is always sparsely attended, why not start combining the PJ and night show at least for these circuit shows? Get the ball rolling Bob.

I didn't see any bodybuilders at Nobu last night. I thought they loved sushi...

Nobu may be a little pricey for meager bank accounts of pro bodybyuilders

Posted by another tim. I think BBers will stick to IHOP and Dennys.
Good food, very large bill!

Overall Rating: 10 Food: 10Service: 10Décor: 10Yes, I would go back!
The food is really good. However, be prepared for very large plates with only 1 bite of food on them. This adds up to a very expensive night after which you will need to go somewhere else to fill up. I did like the place though and would go back. It is very trendy inside and the food was really amazing. However the bill may be shocking for some.

Not for getbiggers tho ::)

I agree 100%!

I was actually at Nobu 57 in midtown, not Nobu downtown. I love the Miso Cod. Too bad they didn't get a michelin star this year though, not as popular as they used to be.

Why anyone would buy a porsche with more than 2 doors is beyond my understanding.

130k after taxes is barely 70k. Last week Jay Z dropped $8500 on his dinner bill at Nobu 57, and left a $1500 tip. Grapefruits are only 2 for $1 at Trader Joe's. Something tells me Kai prefers the citrus to the fish.

Thanks
it was a fun night
rampage and frank mir won they are two of my favorite fighters

Chick, do you think bodybuilding will ever be a mainstream sport? What needs to happen or stop happening for it to be so? I know it has come far but still!

No, it will never be mainstream for the simple fact that it's not mainstream....

You're right about that. Fuck, just proved you wrong.

with that being said, what do you think would be ideal then? What modern sport do you think bodybuilding should use as an example?
Thanks

What about muscled up men in thongs who inject gallons of drugs makes you think it could ever be mainstream?!?! Especially when guys like Barry Bonds and recently Lance Armstrong are getting destroyed by the media for "doping"...

WWE....when the personalities are as big as the physiques....THEN we would have something more people would get into and have interest in following...

Yeah....remember when you had that dream about carrying a 600 lb. boulder 100 ft.....then telling everyone here about it trying to look like a tough guy, only to have your picture displayed and becoming the laughing stock...????
Or how wbout when I called your ass out to show up at the Roch show, and you pussed out, only to disappear for a month, then come back here with some pathetic story about how security wouldnt let you in the building...??
Yeah....Good times...good times
-
The internet just PWNED you. I wish i could take credit for this one but apparently Gay bodybuilding singles website users is your calculated target audience. Thanks for playing.
And tell these fools Bob, the only Mirage you know about is the strip club next to Rockell's gym on West Ridge Rd where you offered "personal training" to the dancers.

ChicObobO,
What advices would you give to Brandon Curry so he can start placing in the top 3 in these type of shows ( if you think he even can )

Gotta bring up the legs to match the upper body, if its possible. especially hams/ calves....
Conditioning needs to be better...problem is, if he gets down far enough to have the condition, he's too small...
I wouldnt have advised him to compete in this show, should have waited until the Hartford and Tampa show...

So what you're saying is he's a second tier pro at best?
Do you think legs are one of those things that either you have it or you dont. Because Im pretty sure Brandon trains the shit out of his legs, but they havent improved much in the past 3 or 4 years.

Those are your words, not mine...Im not ranking guys...just making an observation.
As for whether or not its genetics, etc...one can only guess. Well see in time what he can do...

With that response I see how you've gotten as far as you have in bodybuilding bob!

But I think Brandon should have placed ahead of Huh at the very least. His upper body was one of the very best in the show.
But I guess at the end of the day it doesnt matter really who places 8th or 10th.

Sure dont...both paid out the same.

Last thing Bob.
What the hell happened to Ben White?
That dude was winning shows last year.
And then this year..............
-
Wrong gameplan....
Whatever program he was following, was not the way to go. This is a guy who was just in the winners circle last year...this was a missed opportunity for Ben...he need to regroup and go back to basics of what worked for him.
Hes a better BB than that...

WWE....when the personalities are as big as the physiques....THEN we would have something more people would get into and have interest in following...
I've been preaching this for years and after two years of planning and work I hope to have something in this light in action soon.

Do you think legs are one of those things that either you have it or you dont. Because Im pretty sure Brandon trains the shit out of his legs, but they havent improved much in the past 3 or 4 years.
I think if he stays with Neil Hill for a couple more shows we'll see some good improvements.
...and yes, he trains his legs pretty hard, probably harder than any other body part and if you look at the differences over the past few yrs they're slowly improving. But conditioning is a huge factor for him and hopefully as Neil learns his body a little more it won't be such a factor in the near future.
-
But how this guy can place higher than Ben White?
Ben didn't show up for the finals, which represents 50 percent of your score....don't really know where he would have placed.
