Great movie. But the fact that Charlie Sheen says he has watched it hundreds of times is pretty disturbing.

No black men on front lines giving their lives to save the USA like Denzel's Glory.  Wouldn't interest white getbiggers since they are looking for a civil war when mexicans annex border states.

Mad respect for any Black man are white man for that matter who ever served in the forces before the Iraq war 1. After that war, its obvious that every war jumped the shark and the humans who fight in them are lazy/naive/psychos. Before the internet=RESPECT. Post internet=RETARDED. The only boogie man of the 21st century is the controlled media.

great movie..especially the uncut version that lasts over three hours..amazing film....there will never be another film like it because of the cost and due to the studios not allowing directors to make movies which show their own complete vision the way they want it like Francis ford Coppola did

Brando's colonel Kurtz was a scary and iconic figure and the way the movie builds toward his entrance and exit was awesome

You're probably right.  It's been a long time since seeing AN, but I recall it to be very disturbing.

 ::)

Okay.... yeah, PF is disturbing too  8)

It's a flawed movie in some ways, but the idea itself is brilliant, and Coppola reaching way beyond his grasp make it a classic. Really taking chances. Don't see that in Hollywood, these days.

Apocalyspe Redux is the extended version I think......Marlon Brando owns his scene, but I like Martin sheen's acting here very much.....the young Harrison Ford and many others. that movie was the start for a lot of young actors

I had the opportunity to talk with Martin Sheen a few years ago and we discussed the movie and his participation in its production in the Philippines and how tough it was getting that script on film.

If I recall correctly, there is a scene in which his character is very sick and close to dying which didn't require much of an acting effort on his part due to the fact that it was exactly how he felt during the entire shoot.

It was an interesting conversation about a great movie and an exceptional movie-maker.
