I always get a huge motivation kick out of these WSM competitions.

No problem ma man ;D But the sad thing for me is that the fella with the best physique ie. Tom Magee didn't win it all :'( I'm kinda funny that way, for example when I watch a boxing match and I see a built black dude getting knocked out by a mexican fella with no muscle then I always get upset and offended lol

haha cool video, I wonder how those guys prepared for some of that stuff? Back then I don't think there was access to the kinds of implements they use for "normal" people.

Well, I believe that most of them came from athletic backrounds, usually Olympic weightlifting and field events in track and field. Capes was a standout field athlete, and some of the guys back in the 70s were Olympic lifters, like Wilhelm.

I always loved watching WSM back in the day, still do when i get teh chance.

I met Jon Pall Sigmarsson on a school trip when i was 11. We happened to be visiting a castle the same time as a highland games eventy was taking place. It kills me to this day that i didn't get an autograph or a pic. I had a camera with me too.
