Wow, their state economy is in the dump and he uses govt resources to issue a resolution to diss lebron james. Nice!
Apparently a loss for LeBron James is a win for Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
Following the Dallas Mavericks’s triumph over the Miami Heat in the NBA finals on Sunday, the governor issued a resolution honoring the Texas team. According to a press release, he “declared members of the team and their fans to be ‘Honorary Ohioans.’ Gov. Kasich praised the Mavericks for the loyalty, integrity and teamwork they demonstrated throughout the season.”
James used to play for the Kasich’s home team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he left to join the Miami Heat last summer.
In the resolution, the governor not so subtly dissed James for his departure by highlighting a player who made the opposite decision. Kasich praised the finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki for passing up free agency last year and “remaining loyal to the team, city and fans for whom he played his entire career.”
During his 2010 gubernatorial campaign, Kasich said he wouldn’t beg James to stay in Cleveland. Opponents said the comment would cost him votes, but he went on to win the race nonetheless.

Good. :)

Obama spending his time (in a saggin economy) to do a FInal Four prediction is a waste of resources and shows he's not focused on issues that affect us.
Ohio's governor issuing state resolutions on taxpayer dime (in a sagging economy) to gloat over a player's loss - totally cool, brah.

lol. Yes, the Governor issuing a one page resolution is terrible. ::)

What did obama's brackets take? 5 minutes? 10 minutes?
How many sports-related gloating resolutions paid for by OH taxpayer money as their state sinks, until it's too many? 1? 2? 10,000?
See, I could care less - but I'd like to see everyone who screamed about obama doing a final 4 bracket during rough economic times to scream just as loud about this.

I don't think anyone was screaming. ::) And who the heck cares whether anyone on this board "screams" just as loud about this as anything else??

I would counter with the fact that LeBrick leaving the Cadavaliers had an economic impact on the state.
