No people skills... he's worthh 400 or 500 million and he makes comments like this to unemployed people. He should talk less
Source: NYT
TAMPA, Fla. — Mitt Romney sat at the head of the table at a coffee shop here on Thursday, listening to a group of unemployed Floridians explain the challenges of looking for work. When they finished, he weighed in with a predicament of his own.
“I should tell my story,” Mr. Romney said. “I’m also unemployed.”
He chuckled. The eight people gathered around him, who had just finished talking about strategies of finding employment in a slow-to-recover economy, joined him in laughter.
“Are you on LinkedIn?” one of the men asked.
“I’m networking,” Mr. Romney replied. “I have my sight on a particular job.”
<snip>
The references to Mr. Romney’s own unemployment status added yet another humorous, but occasionally awkward, moment to his ever-growing catalog of off-the-cuff remarks that he makes as he seeks the Republican presidential nomination. He spent the morning doing more listening than talking — a woman in the crowd openly urged him to talk about the deficit — and it was unclear whether he persuaded any voters to join his effort.

I don't think he will win.

I don't think he will win.
Repubs usually give it to the next guy in line - romney is clearly the next guy in line. he can win in later states based on his $ alone, and the fact bachmann, perry, cain, palin, etc will have to split the far-right vote.
But geez, he is awkward. I'm seriously getting a bachmann sticker.
-
Another 20-25 foot-in-mouth comments like that and he'll have caught up to the God-King.
-
bachmann's been doing this for decades and doesn't have a history of flipflopping. She's been 100% consistent on her positions.
-
Shit, romney support the stimulus too? LOL! In his own words!
-
Bachmann needs to pounce on this.
-
If I was unemployed and at that table I would have told him to eat my shit, I swear to god I would.
-

I don't even konw that she needs to lower herself to this - you don't "swing down" and she's not competing with him for any votes.
T-paw SHOULD be all over this. huntsman too!
-

oh my god, that was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah. Total foot in mouth comment there. ::) He was joking.

When you are worth millions like he is, and as stiff as he is, it comes across really tackey.
-
If Romney wins the presidency get ready for gov't healthcare, carbon tax and perpetual war. Basically nothing will change from Obama

O.k. He made a tacky comment. Big whoop.

I believe you - you're cool like that.
-

yeah, this is pretty much correct. Obama is more like Bush than we thought, and we kinda see Obama is just like most of 2008 Romney positions.
Romney catching lots of flack already for this little comment. Of course the table of kiss-asses is going to laugh at anything Mittens said there.
it's more of a pattern of awkward and dumb stuff that really shows the pampered and sheltered romney is out of touch. Same way with obama and that shovel-ready crack, bumps in road. You just don't say that. Dumb move.
-
Romney is a Mormon right? I don't trust anyone that doesn't drink alcohol or caffeine.
-

There was not a single flip flop in that video. WOW, it looks like I have my work cut out for me this election season. The liberals and unfortunately some conservatives are doing their best to pin the flip flop label on Mitt.

3333, he isnt a shoe - in yet, but he has gained real momentum since his performance in that last debate. He got some key endorsements in Florida. If he wins NH and Florida, he will win the nomination.
-
This comment got taken out of context. Micheal Medved played the entire audio on his show today, and it doesnt sound anywhere near as bad in the entire audio. Never the less, Mitt needs to be more careful.

That was bad. It doesnt matter. WHen you fail as president, you tend to lose. It doesnt matter who the nominee is. Hoover lost to a clueless, economic crackpot cripple from New York, Carter lost to a lightweight B movie actor from California, and Obama will lose to a robotic Mormon dork from Massachusettes.
-
i'll vote romney over obama.
But i'd prefer to vote for bachmann over obama.
-
Bachmann is kicking butt. Romney made another flub today.
-
Oh yeah. Total foot in mouth comment there. ::) He was joking.
oh, now the unemployment of so many is a laughing matter Oh that's much better.... ::)
-
Hugo I'm going something later about bachmann you are going to like a like.
-
Romney made another flub today.
what was it??
-
Mormon, that really scares me. Christian is spooky enough, add mormon, no thanks...
-

No it's not a laughing matter. ::) He probably shouldn't have told the joke. Not a big deal.
