how juiced do you think he was ? I think his early pic may have been natural but I know his later pic are not so whats your opinion on the matter?
-
I think he lifted weights and ate mostly eggs and steak. You should try that too sometime.
-
take in account that these guys are mostly not that tall either, so on photo they impresses because of all the muscle they build naturally but i always say that a midget that never trained also looks somewhat muscular
-
He took everything that was around and long after retirement too.
-
reg park is over 6ft tall I belive and ya he had to have done more then lift and eat steak what gets me about him is he talked so down on steroids but his later in life build was in no way natural

Reg park was a tall man, met him about 2 year before his passing, he had a big frame.
He was probably on the same as everyone else, and seems to have been strong and a thinking bber

Here we go AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN...
How in the fuck are you ever gonna know? You gonna ask a 15 year old?
Let's throw Freddy Ortiz in there while we're at it. How did he get his arms so fucking big? Was it because he was so short, friends with Larry Scott and ate tons of cat shit?
Let's just spend days and countless hours thinking of what jibberish to post up next.

500lb bench for a lean man was no mean feat back then.... he wouldnt have been on loads in the 50's, and even so i probly took 3 times as much as him and come no where near those numbers

Reg still beats you in that pose. Better Calves, chest, taper and detail. Good job though - you're giving him a run for his money.
-
not bad, work on chest and lower legs.
-
Whatever happenned to Jon Jon ?
"Today Jon Jon Park is the owner of the Legacy Gym, a popular gymnasium in West Los Angeles, CA. Reg's daughter, Jeunesse, runs the Reg Park Legacy Foundation which helps disadvantaged people access sport and fitness."

He was a strong man no doubt but the 1,000lb partial overhead presses are bullshit. Some of these claims are just ridiculous .
-
STFU bitch.

That was never claimed by Park. He did some very heavy calf raises, but no interview or article ever stated 1000 lb partial presses.

I believe it was the calf raises that were stated to be 1000 lbs. Park probably did juice but like alot of the older guys, their physiques weren't as big or as ripped and they could get away with claiming natural.
-
great athlete
-
He was on tren, masteron, eq and "no test". Remember hes an oldtimer right? so he must have not used test.
also he was on diuretics anti-es and hgh.
No insulin, and you can see it from his flat stomach.
::)

never let the fact that juice didn't even exist prior to the late 50's stop you.
Park was 100% natural according to every accredited iron game source. Guys who simply log on to discussion boards are not accredited sources, btw.......

Know anything about york barbell heywood? About ziegler? Reg Park trained at york barbell did he not? All those lifters were given dianabol. Ziegler who created it stated this himself. Would you consider him a credible source??? Why don't you old guys stop fu*king lying for once? I don't need to have been there to know what was going on cause many who were have already admitted it. Stop insulting younger peoples intelligence with this nonsense.
-
He squatted 600 for 2 and deadlifted 700. Total hard ass
-
His first winning contest was in 49. and he very sucessfully competed till the early '70's and still looked as good as he did in his 20's. Also he benched #500 at like #230-240. Now at that time, the other guys in that range were mostly atleast #90-100+ over his weight. He also had a great squat and dead, so he wasn't just a 1 lift lifter.
Of course he used. As to what? Everything that everyone else was using. Dianabol, Anadrol, Test, etc..... Just look at the popular drugs from each era and there you go.
I don't think Park ever claimed #1000 partial overheads, York claimed that for Grimek though. #800+ partial overhead, but when you see the pic, it's a high chain support, and the photo is angled so you can't see the plates well, but it's less than #800.
Look at Park through the years here-

Reg's first win was 1945 when he won the Boy's Section of the Mr. Britain aka Jr. Mr. Britain.
In 1949, about two months before he won the Mr. Britain, he won the Mr. Northeast Britain.
The 1,000 lb overhead 'lifts' mentioned for Grimek were supports from overhead chains. I am ignorant of any such claim for Park?

This isn't Reg, it's Bob Birdsong..

MR. PARK WAS A BIG MAN....WITH AWESOME POWER.....DEFINITELY CAPABLE OF 500 BENCH PRESS
HE WAS A POWER TRAINER......ARNIE WAS A HIGHER REP....MODERATE WEIGHT TRAINER......RIC DRASIN SAID HE MAYBE BENCHED 400.... BUT POSSIBLY LESS......ARNOLD LEARNED FROM VINCE GIRONDA AND TRAINED WITH MODERATE POUNDAGES AND MORE FEELING AKA TIME UNDER TENSION AKA SQUEEZING AND FOCUSING ON THE MUSCLE.....INSTEAD OF HOISTING HEAVY IRON.
TWO VERY OPPOSITE WAYS OF TRAINING......REG HAD A SOLID BUILD.....BUT ARNIE WAS MORE COMPLETE AND MORE OF A FORCE ON STAGE.......JUST MY .02 THOUGH.
AS FAR AS DRUGS......ALL THE OLD TIMERS WERE DBOL INGESTING BLOKES......JUST MY OPINION.

Reg Park is my bitch.
Che you have a kickass physique. Didnt you say you have tiny joints and that its mostly illusion?
