So, I'm genuinely curious here, what's your perception of Europe and Europeans? As I understand, a lot of you haven't really travelled beyond US borders and seem to wean all your information from stereotypes and biased resources. Do you distinguish between certain parts of Europe, e.g North and West? Have you visit and if so where? What did you think of it? Do you have a desire to come and visit?
Let's hear your opinions.

I`ve been to New York City a few times.............I`m cultured !

Depends.
If you mean a generalization, then just from what Ive seen interacting on forums, it seems like Euro's tend to have superiority complex's, look down on the US, be very judgemental of anything that comes out of our mouths, even if they say similar things.
However, IMO, thats just forum trolling nonsense. Ive always wanted to visit Europe, specifically Italy and Greece, and until I do and interact with people their, I cant say for sure.
And yes, Im sure there is a large difference between parts of europe, but just from seeing how many Euro's post and from what I see in world news, it seems like much of europe looks down on the US and they expect the US to make everyone happy.
It also seems like many look down on the US citizens in particular, stereotyping us in the same manner they accuse us of doing.
SO... If I had to pick some words just from what Ive seen, Id say, pretentious and arrogant, and hypocritical.
-
Oh. the soon to be People's Islamic Republic of Europe? Look at Libya or Bangladesh, and that's what Europe shall be soon enough. How come you Europeans are so ashamed of yourselves as a people and your history? How come you don't have kids? Why do you tolerate Islam?

Good post,I feel the same way.
However,I do like talking to the few people I`ve met visiting here (US).........always interesting, and they always seem pretty cool.

I'm not going to bite troll, but not sure WTF you're on about us being shy of our history? It's a wonderful, fabled and storied continent where you can stand on smoky platforms and depending on which train platform, you could be in 5 different countries by the time you're ready for lunch. It's rich, varied and its culture never ending. I don't know of any of my friends (many nationalities) that looks down on Americans either.
Yes, we do tolerate the disease that is Islam and also the disease that is Christianity. We're government by psychotic liberals that would stab their own mothers to death before daring to offend primitive creatures from lesser countries. However, there is a rise in far right movements all across Europe but you won't hear of it as there's a media blackout on them.
Then again, are you claiming that Islam is not getting a foothold in America?
-
Yes, we do tolerate the disease that is Islam and also the disease that is Christianity.
You are right James. Both of these religions are diseases that can only be cured with a brain.

The problem with this is, even if Islam is taking a foothold, we see nothing about it, because if theyre here, theyre on a total media blackout. I havent so much as heard a peep in the mainstream news about anything Islam related (aside from the odd news story here or there).
They very well could be amassing here and taking over, but again, my fellow Americans dont/wouldnt have a clue its happening, because the media isnt showing us shit.

VERY BROAD QUESTION.
BE MORE SPECIFIC. GERMANS? RUSSIANS? ITALIANS? FRENCH?

Still white trash, only with cooler clothes.

Sure, go on then. Germans, Russians, Italians and French.

The americans I've met were cool - seemed relaxed and talkative... they generally have a good vibe going on.
I assume that many americans see europe as a nice and antiquated place to travel to for sightseeing. Europe lacks the great nation feeling that is somewhat still intact in the USA despite the many problems.
Russians are ok, though the money laden ones seem obnoxious and very rude.
-
We thank their all qwears that drink wine and carry purses. Thei all talk funny too like fags and the women have hairy underarms, basically a libural shithole.

I love Europe, but when I am in Europe I feel a bit vulgar and awkward (even though I'm pretty educated and successful). I always feel like I am being perceived as too loud in the restaurants. I find Europeans a little stuffy and hung up on doing things "the right way", e.g., the right way to eat your food, the right opinions to have about things, etc. I like the free-wheeling nature of America and Americans, and always heave a sigh of relief coming home. But don't get me wrong, 80 percent of the things I appreciate in life - most likely derive from Europe.

I want to visit Greece and Rome, thats about it. Would never dream of living in europe where I couldn't have a slice of pizza without getting suicide-bombed in the pizza parlor ::)

I'd say that's correct.

I feel sorry for the Germans of my grandparents generation.
Are they not shitting their pants over the invasion of foreigners?
What did they ever do to anyone?

Honestly people are so paranoid after 911, that if they see a Muslim on a plane, they freak out.

Excellent point about our mainstream media. Its as if Lee "Liar" Priest is in charge of the propaganda machine which controls our news.

Pretty sure I havent seen one serious post in this thread talking about Europe like its one country.
But thanks for proving my point. ;D

Living in NY you get to meet and see a ton of different people from different countries etc. When its all said and done its all the same shit, there is good in bad everywhere. When someone says Russians are no good or Italians or whatever, hes being stupid, there is good and bad within every sector.

I can't say I had an issue anywhere.
Everyone was cool to me.
I don't think they should let the Muslim community change their common law system, but if they are willing to let it happen, then that's on them.
I don't want that to happen in the US.

Europeans at the beach in Cancun are gross. No one wants to see a fat old man and woman wearing thongs, going topless. Also they smoke everywhere. In the pool, At the beach, in the transport vans. They throw their cig butts everywhere. They are fucking animals as the buffet dinners cutting in line like they own the place. Oh and of course they are putting food on their plate with a cigarette in their hand hovering over the food. They are nasty. Fuck em.

LOL at Americans talking about ''Europe'' like it's one country or something. And then basing their perception of the whole of 'Europe' on a single country they visited.
It's comprised of many different countries with very different cultures and languages.

You could easily say the same of the rest of the world. I don't really understand why Europeans are more "cultured" and have a broader world view than Yanks. What do those things really mean, and how would you even begin to measure them?
Do you distinguish between certain parts of Europe, e.g North and West? Have you visit and if so where? What did you think of it? Do you have a desire to come and visit?
Yes, no, n/a and yes, respectively :)
Honestly, I wouldn't even begin to say something about Europeans as a whole. That's as dumb as thinking Japan, Thailand and India are all similar because they're Asian.

I'm confused by the general premise of people thinking that all of Europe is one country... I don't think there's too many people anywhere in the world who think that.
They did create a EU to assist in combining political and monetary policy however... So while they are obviously separate member states, they certainly do operate as a singular entity at times.
-

The EU should have stayed with the original founding states and the strongest countries in Western Europe and worked as a very loose confederate system for trade benefits and border control.
Nothing else.
Now it has a President which the public has never even voted for and of course the member states have to follow the laws given to them. I don't even think the public voted to be a part of this system, it was imposed on them by their politicians.
Their goal is to eventually bring down all national identity and be one huge modern Socialist super state.

I judge the individual, not the group.
I ask the same of those judging this country.
Only been to Europe once and went to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and England....only stayed a few days in each place so my assessment is extremely narrow from almost no experience but everyone seemed really nice except for some of the junkies in Switzerland and some of the waiters in cafes in France. The ones at our hotels were great but some others seemed to have kind of an attitude and no wonder obesity doesn't seem to be a problem there because you pretty much can't get any food from about 2-5...I think even the McDonalds was shut down during those hours lol.
Another thing that stands out was that it seemed like just about everyone smoked.
I also hurt my back and went to the doctor in Dijon, France and I spoke more French than he did English but got what I needed but the office was kind of bizarre in that he had no receptionist and an exam table w/stirrups in the same room as his desk.
We had Eurail passes and it was really beautiful...would like to go back and go to Italy and maybe the South of France.
I like Austrians.

I lived in both US and "Europe". Americans are funny. There are MANY countries and cultures in "EUROPE". Pick one
-
Unfortunately, you may be correct.
I know im correct since im born in france lived there for 25 years before moving to canada. They re getting replaced. White europeans do not reproduce as more as white north american and are directly in contact with africa, midle east, balkans etc, they ll be outnumbered very soon, it s all a matter of time and maths. Europe is becoming an extension of the third world and most europeans from the elites/ upper classes alrdy send their offsprings sutdying in north america and buy homes there. I dot not think white north americans wil be replaced by mexicans, blacks or south american. But it might be a possibility, too.

What made you choose Canada over the US? Difficulties in citizenship? Jobs? Economy?
And assuming that it was equally easy to get citizenship in either country (Assuming that was your major reason), would you have still chosen Canada over the US?

canada needs millions of immigrants to replace its aging/retiring population (as white europeans need millions of immigrants who come formt he third world to replace their aging/retiring population; only problems; these immigrants are incredibly backward, violent, racists, and openly want to benefit from everything the hosts built, developped, but without the hosts...Also in europe welfare ruined it all considering you can live there without working; something you can barely do in canada/the US, even if liberal in power are more and more attempting to transform north america into another europe) and considerably eased the immigration procedures. The criterias are not hard to meet, especialy for french canada / quebec . I and my girl had enough diplomas, work experience and were still young and promising so its wasnt hard to be accepted.
The main reason we moved was because we simply couldnt deal with muslims wether they re from arab or black africa ruining our daily lives in france in paris. Most big cities and smallers ones are litteraly invaded and becomes ghetos/no go zones where sharia law is instaured. White people are openly hunted down the streets by colored people just for fun while police cant do shit cause politicians want the votes of these immigrants and want to mix the lower and middle class to dumb it down. I obviously chose canada (french canada) because i wanted to move closer to the US for my offsprings. I got a daughter since and that was the wole point of moving; in europe she d have to learn to speak arabic and would have had to deal with them in her everyday life. Here in north america she ll speak both french and english and hopefully will live either in the US or canada.

Being affiliated with the military, I have lived overseas 21 of the last 26 years. The last 11 years have been in Europe. The thing I've learned is any place you go, you'll find good and bad folks...just like the good ole' US of A.
Holland - Without a doubt the nicest and coolest folks around. I literally did not meet a person who I couldn't befriend. I'd move back there tomorrow if I could.
Belgium - Not the friendliest folks in the world...except those living near the Point whereby German, Holland and Belgium come together. Never had any real problems...just never made any lasting friendships. Brussels is a great city to visit.
Germany - Good folks...for the most part. Most have a no sense of humor, but you can definitely count on them keeping their word...for the most part. Rules and regulations are king...until they decided to break them. But hey, you gotta love a place whereby you can pass a cop going 100 MPH and nothing happens!
Italy - I like the Italians, but no so fond of Italy. There are some really nice places to visit, but unfortunately, work always had me going to Naples. There were parts of Naples that reminded me of some of the worst parts of Africa. There is always garbage everywhere! Driving in Naples requires either skills or a "fuk it" attitude.
France - I cannot understand how they got the reputation of being rude. I've never experienced that...even when I try my butchered French. I also don't get the fascination with French food. Perhaps I'm just not refined enough.
England - Very friendly folks, but a dreary place. The constant rain doesn't help either. I absolutely adore the British accent. One gets 10 additional IQ points just for the accent! I do wish I could drive there just once without hitting the curbs.
These are the ones I spent a significant amount of time in. I didn't speak to the historical sites or the cool places to visit. They are aplenty.

The French are not that rude, they are just extremely arrogant. And they think they are still a world power. They haven't won a war since the 18th century....

Bingo.

I am an anglo living in a hispanic neighborhood in Houston...the hispanic/mexicans in the important aspects are no different than those born in North America...Although the older ones speak spanish when they are amongst themselves, its more of a way of keeping their language skills together...My relatives speak german when thay are together in Schulenburg Tx for the same reason, and they are third generation.
