well, the Video clip says it all, he's only 19yrs old, who the fuck is this kid?
at=24
-
Pat Mendes, C/J's low #500's, Snatches mid #400's(with straps), squats low #800's, Benches low 500's and has pulled #725 or so for 4. He's a strong kid, I think I would've gave him World's Strongest teenager when those lifts were shot, I haven't seen any other kid hit that raw across so many lifts.
The rap on him was that he wouldn't compete in many tested meets and that his gyms totals were higher than his actual official meet totals. But that's changing now, he's doing more meets and looking very good.
-
shit, that was my next question. why whouldn't he be in all those meets outthere. his lifts are more than impressive
-
He has snatched 176 kg in competition. Middle Eastern teenage weightlifter just snatched 207 kg or something like that (about the same Mendes clean and jerked). :D
-
didnt some idiot on here claim weightlifters werent a genetic elite, and werent that strong either?

Crazy lifting. Obviously the dude is riding the major-testosterone-train. Still, extremely impressive lifting talent.

Great article. However, I question much of what is said. Not in totality, just as far as the extremity of the beliefs.
No such thing as overtraining?

Kinda sorta, Most nations keep the volume high and focus mostly on a handful of main lifts. The difference is the intensity and ancillary lifts. Bulgarians main lifts and squats for the most part on one end and on the other end Chinese lifting were the Mainlfts are done, but also mainy other things like bodybuilding movements to address weak spots, preserve mass, etc....
-
Bottom line! If you do mega doses you can get away with anything! Naturals need to be more systematic than just "get under the bar and squat it". ::)

I question this freaking method as well. it's not for everybody, but if you're hurt, you gotta rest......I'm sure many people will disagree with him as well

Great read.
The injury things seems a little bit extreme.
-
Incredible strength, especially for someone so young. How anyone can snatch over 400 lbs is beyond me.
-
hit that raw
-
Another usefull tidbit. This is important! Read this carefully. Here it is:
If a training program is good enough, it's kept secret.
Simple as that.
-
I am a drug-free/raw powerlifter and today I hit 600 in the squat. I have been training for 25 years. If I tried to go to 600 or more EVERY DAY I'd be dead in a week or two. Something's amiss here, totally.
No question these cats do hardcore juice. Plus they're very talented and respond well to the drugs. But c'mon, man.
I think this kid is gonna suffer catastrophic injury sometime soon.

Klaus fan,
I didn't think you had the aptitude to conjure up such a thought.
BRAVO!
