As if the public-at-large didn't think Arnold and Lou were gay, back in the 70s, for wearing those exact same trunks ::).

Heck, the guys in the new Men's physique division wear LONG, BAGGY SHORTS that go to their knees. Yet, we have the GetBiggers here calling them gay.

the guys can wear whatever trunks they wish...if you believe the extra two inches of fabric would bring a sense of " not gay" to the sport, the you're entitled to your opinion.

personally, I've never looked at it one way or the other as the trunks have changed over the years...much the same as Basketball, Baseball, swimming, Football....

Actually today's posing trunks are technically not "thongs", they do rise higher than normal in the back, so their female equivalent would be "French Cut"...thongs are cut in a way so they'd be stuck up your ass, without hiking them up(like those ones advertised in Flex Mag).

Good point!! Baskbetball fans today pick on the old-school basketball players and their "guy" shorts (ala Dr. J). But, they don't claim basketball is homosexual.

Maybe they're not officially forbidden but there are unwritten rules. "Three inches to low you're out!!"

Haha what utter denial!  Boy short type trunks would most definitely ungay the sport.  But that would cut back on all the faggotry at the bodybuilding shows and many of the judges, higher ups, etc. are total fags.  So they would disappointed.

Then explain all the gay comments about the new Men's Physique division. They're wearing long baggy shorts.

Or, why people were saying the same thing about Arnold and Lou in the 70s that you're saying now.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that you are just stupid.

That is an interesting point.  Some of the guest posers wear shorts and it doesn make a huge difference.   But they would need to be smaller shorts.

As for the Men's Physique division, the biggest complaint I hear from the women is that their shorts are too long, and you cant judge their legs at all.

Question - why do you keep calling them 'thongs'?   Have you actually seen what a thong looks like on a women, or do you wish the men would wear these thongs?  Come one now, these type of suits remind me of the European suits they wear at the beach.   Whereas they won't wear it in the US, or perhap the times are a changing in terms of conservative values, they still are not thongs.

There's been no doubt in my mind about your stupidity, when it comes to some of your comments.

My point is (and apparently geniuses like Magoo don't get it) that comments about bodybuilding's supposed gayness have little to do with the trunks. People thought that about Arnold, Lou, and other competitors from that era, despite the trunks' design.

And, while I don't doubt your claims about the female judges and the legs (regarding the men's physique competitors), I've heard LOTS of comments of how "gay" those guys look. Yet, they ain't sporting Arnold-style trunks or the ones used by bodybuilders today.

Ron, I bet you would like the shorts to be as small as possible, huh?  :D :D
