This is what happened to the song when Johnny Cash covered it:

Cash's version is way better but Trent's original ain't bad... at least he wrote it.
Cash is a real legend - Drendd is a geek.

you are a fukwit.

Hurt by Cash is probably my favorite song but you totally missed the point. Cash wasted his life singing his own so-so songs.

True, what he was before he died was a result of his life experience (so-o songs and all) but he was at his best doing covers for bands made up of people 40 years younger. It is amazing , when hear you American 4/5 whatever, what he can do with songs from U2 , Tom Petty etc.

The best cover artist that ever lived

Fan of both. NIN original is awesome. But Cash brings it to another galaxy because he brings it to life. The man sings from the heart. Everything about the man is real. Trent is starting to show signs of being some kind of twister of the truth. A poser if you will. Still extremely talented but a douche never the less.
The video Cash did for this is haunting considering the time frame for when his wife died and his death soon after. His wife staying with him all those years after what he put her through is just amazing.

Another example of Cash improving a song, this time I'm on fire by Springstien.

I thought that I had heard or collected every Cash song. Then the new series of Deadliest Cash came out, the trailers had this one I had not heard. Another dry classic from the man.

Cash was at his best when he did his own songs.  Hope this helps.

ok ,,take the song of the katy pary girl,, hipnotize me? about the alien....you know what im talking about ,,, she added the black junk fella in the song for generation nothingness to accept but lets take this song,, HYPNOTIZE ME YOURE ALIEN WHATEVER THE FUCK THE NAME OF THAT THING IS,, it is very very catchy when you hear it after 2 week you are addicted right? but when you go a month listening to it it start breaking apart to very minimal ability to write music and to put masterpieces together,, it has the catchy fliker tatatata that make it like robot and a fliker type melody that flow... but after a while....you start realizing its not that well written and it falls apaprt.....unlike michael jackson billy jean or thriller that remain masterpiece or madona borderline that also have the game with the little electric piano and keyboard/dx7 at the beggining and along the song,,

it is very hard to explain what im thinking in words...but the ones of you who know good music understand the garbage we are in now when it comes to this generation  lack of talent,,

its the end of music friends

Katy Perry is almost cyborg like. She is in total control by the CIA. Check out her eyes. Dead give away. And look at her phony husband? Same type of CIA eyes. These two are both agents who are working for CIA entertainment div. They sold their souls to the devil Hierarchy.

This is absolutely spot on and it's a direct reflection not of just songwriting talent but of production talent. Quincy Jones mixed up MJ's albums incredibly masterfully. Listen to how MUCH is going on in a song like Billy Jean... Layers and layers of perfectly laid instrumentation.

That's the difference now, they just push stuff out without sweating over it for months like the masters. Just like bodybuilders today take more gear and play Xbox for cardio.

love katy perry. she has the most exquisitely sensual voice. it's so sexy and flirtatious listening to it is for me intimidating. :-[ all these conspiracy theorists claim these pop stars work for the man blah blah blah where's the proof? ::) people just want to sound opinionated...
