Title: Iron Curtain on EU? Denmark brings back border checks
Post by: Benny B on July 05, 2011, 09:37:01 PM
Stricter border controls are to be implemented in Denmark as the country's parliament has voted in favour of permanent new legislation. It will mean more security checkpoints at the country's ports and at its border with Germany. Some EU officials have already condemned the move, saying it might contradict mainland Europe's much-vaunted open border agreement.

EU is a failure should have never been done. Same dumb shit as former Soviet Union, that failed miserably in the end.

Any empire through out history that has tried to micromanage everything with different cultures and people, have always crashed and burned in the end.

Idiots never learn.

I have a job, Coach. One that actually requires work and and an intellect.  ::) Not to mention, a wife, friends and hobbies. I don't just sit on getbig all day looking for questions to answer or challenges to respond to.

I have no idea what question of yours you think I "avoided." Ask me again, and if I see it and it isn't another one of your "dumb as a doorknob" comments, I'll respond.

Yeah, another example of the shadowy and vast Danish Empire and its ever expanding territorial ambitions.

Stricter controls - better late than never.

Iron curtain ->  between slovakia and austria - if you jumped into the Donau and swam towards the slovakian side you would get shot.

Closing the borders to not let unwanted people in is one of the most unlogical ways to solve the problem.

What needs to be done is to change the system.

Most EU countries have a new hyped up problem with immigrants.

They see immigrants as a ultimate scapegoat and believe that without immigrants most if not all problems will be solved.

Again not thinking about the 'why' behind this problem people react from their deep-rooted emotions of separation and say 'close the borders'.

That is like saying to make a stronger vault in a bank hoping that this will prevent another heist.

As we all know this does not work.

Changing the system in a bank to get it to no be perceived as a bank and let it operate as a bank will deliver much better results.

To do that people and the system in place must look at itself and recognize its faults before changing them.

Most people do not want to do that, but still want to solve the problem and therefore speak out of basic unfounded emotion 'get them out, close the borders'.

This solves absolutely nothing as the conditions which supported the unwanted situation in the first place have not been changed.

Like a fat person not wanting to do the work and confront himself saying 'get all the mirrors out of the house' and thinking he or she will not be fat from that moment on.

People love fast delivering illusions.

I disagree..It has been shown in many European countries that there are immigrants that come to merely exploit the countrie's welfare system and even worse..begin to commit  crimes. This is especially true of African and Islamic immigrants. Why should countries continue to allow themselves to be exploited by these people ?
