Melvin doing the Cormier ab roll. King looked good, and he wasn't going to look better. You can already see that he didn't have the arms nor the shape to compete at say the Arnold or top 5 at the O. He was structurally fucked.

king made the mistake of gaining more and more weight...
arabs, (and yesssss i know he is persian, but really all the same shitty genepool...)
always have big chest, big backs, also torso... but shitty arms and waistlines....
huge shoulders as well...... but always lack in the arms.

so the weight he gained went straight to his torso , and waist.... = looking like a frog.
had he stayed at this weight, about 225, and just polish his physique, he would still be around taking 10th place at the ac.... (little sarcasm) he did look good here though!

Before.

king made the mistake of gaining more and more weight...
...(little sarcasm) he did look good here though!

This.

King was about as good as he would get in 2001. Even his most hated enemy at the time, Shawn Ray, gave him his just due at the contest. But King made the mistake of thinking "bigger is better" and it went over like a fart in church. The only person that putting on 30lbs worked for, and that was for a very short time, was Ronnie in 2003. By 2004 Ronnie was on his downhill slide and never got close to being the Mr Olympia he was in 98-2001, but even after Ronnie won those he got a little worse each time. Then he came back in 2003 and shocked everyone, but King doesn't have those genetics like Ronnie, and it didn't work for him.
Disgusted helped a great deal, but apparently King didn't hold up his end of the bargain, don't quote me on that though.

Cormier at the time was arguably  top 3 in the world ...def. top 5 ...in the MOST competitive era of BB. Kamali looked his best and still was not in the same league as him. From the front and back he was complete.

Calm down, he didn't look that good at all. She still had shitty arms and wide waist. You can see the beginnngs of his "frog" look. He was a overhyped piece of shit. And his ego got big because of that---it's what happens when you know you can't compete with the upper echelon guys, but are getting decent placings.

What next, the pic of him and Nasser on Harley's sitting at 300+ pounds?

Cormier there was in a class of his own, could very well have had an O if he maxed out his physique - no weaknesses and practically the very definition of the policy changes they made a few years later.

I cant tell you how pleased i am to see JD acknowledged on here, a genuine gentleman with one of the better physiques to ever come out of the UK. His arms were world class regardless of who he stood next to, in most lineups they would be in a league of their own. Never got what he deserved IMO, he was much better than his official placings.

Is that the one where they're flexing a bicep @ each other - appeared in Flex quite some years ago? I remember that pic mainly because the calf size differential was ridiculous, love him or hate him Nasser was a beast of a man in his prime.

I agree, I think JD has been under-rated ever  he got his Pro Card back in the 90s. Although, later on, as evidence by that pic, he was starting to grow a gut...I still have the Flex Mag with his arm training article.

What do you mean, "back then?" Guy has always had it, and always will. He's not confident in his ability, especially since he's turned to shit since then, he's outright arrogant about it.

He looked phenomenal in that photo shoot, but that was the only time he looked that way on a Pro stage.

The cover has him doing preacher curls, correct? Yeah, I agree, he had 3D arms, especially his biceps. He competed several times after 2001, and I think he quit, am I right?

He retired around 03 - 04 i think, havent seen anything of him in years. We had Taylor, Abbew & Dawodu all competing together who all had massive arms and especially phenomenal biceps. Taylor may have had funky tris but his actual biceps were top class.

Which is why he retired. He was shafted repeatedly!
I remember where he did a contest like the Ironman, and he was a mass monster something like 260+, then he did another contest a few months later like the Toronto Pro (prior to it's hibernation) and came in completely ripped and DAP conditioning at a lower bodyweight like 220. He was spot on perfect as he could be, and was placed horribly though he looked far better.

Then he announced his retirement shortly after that, at least some time that year IIRC.

Watched a few minutes of your "In The Trenches" video over at MD. I'm not surprised that you said you lack friends and a relationship. No one wants to be friends with someone who constantly name drops to make themself seem relevent. Also, you strut around like a beast during the video. Sorry to break it to you but you still have the appearance of the stringy 155 6'2 guy you were when you started lifting. Lastly, your form is completely sloopy. You seem like a decent guy although you talk a lot of shit. This is just my assessment of what you decided to portray on an open video forum. Seriously, I would suggest re-evaluating yourself and your lifting technique if you ever want to make any decent gains.

What the hell are you talking about?!?!?? (i don't know "Melvin" nor have i ever claimed to) he "cracks me up" in the video by Mimicking Kamali/he actually jumps in the air at one point to pose his hamstrings,"I'm sorry you feel that way about me/or that's how i come off in the video (that's definitely not how i am/or how i want to be portrayed)

The funny part was that if King tried that on Chris on a street somewhere, Cormier would have buried him. In legit real-world terms, Cormier is a bad-ass and is not to be f'd with. He can handle himself.
Didn't Victor Martinez knock the fuck out of chris last year ?
