When cutting, which do you find more effective for giving yourself an added boost?
1. Twice-a-day cardio (as opposed to once a day)
2. Even further restricting your calories/diet

i have once lost about 8lbs in 2 weeks on weight training and diet alone...maybe some water weight i'm losing but it's the weight anyway...

I would say diet.

Cut the carbs and not the calories. Best kept secret of holding on to that hard earned muscle mass developed through the years, rather than losing a lot of it through drastic calorie reduction. Sure you don't want to look like a skinned rabbit.
Might suggest interval training (twice to three times a week) for superior cardio. Good Luck.

personaly, ive always preferred to eat more and do more work... thats just me tho

eat more, train more...the training will give you the calorie deficit, not necessarily cardio....

well Bodybuilders are always scared of cardio or is it laziness ? I remember a strong but Fat guy in the gym never did cardio and always wore a tight t- shirt and his Gut hanged out ??? . Girls and Boys work your heart and lungs but 2 times a day is in my opinion way too much. I don't care for HIT Cardio i run 30 to 45 Min's. I vary the tempo and that works for me. Thing is Guys you can build muscle but if you ever get into a punch up(which can happen to the best of us regardless of your age) do you want to be breathing out your arse too quickly?? Always be allround fit :)

punch ups rarely last more than a few punches!!
i agree with cardio tho, off season i try and get 2 to 3 sessions in just for general fitness,,,
for getting in shape at least one session per day
for contests, last 4 to 6 weeks 2 sessions per day

For me, it’s diet.
Changes in my diet yield results much more dramatic than additional cardio.
As JPM mentioned, cutting carbs is key - again, this is what works for me.
I’ve never gone crazy strict on any kind of Atkins or “Anabolic” diet, but drastically reducing carbs while eating whole eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, red meat, and even doing a daily shot of olive oil, I’ve been able to noticeably lean out - and that’s without doing ANY cardio.
In my book, that really shoots the whole “a calorie is a calorie” argument up the ass.
On the flip side, I've done additional cardio while eating "bad" foods, and fail to make any substantial progress.
