You make a very valid point here. Like putting a dollar in the bell ringer's Salvation Army bucket so they can run to the liquor store after you leave the parking lot. About the same as burning it.

This was the worst money burning incident, Members of the EU band KLF burnt around 1.8 million dollars (1 million pounds) and it was real money, not fake :o Also this was 1994 so if you count for inflation you are probably looking at closer to 4 million dollars today, skip to 3:14 if you want to see the money burn

my brother in law some him at a club in vegas. he said he showed up with two stacks of $100's ($10,000) in each hand and was literally throwing money at people and buying drinks for randoms around him (mostly women of course). by the end of the night the money was gone.
also, doesn't he owe the IRS or the state of nevada money? yes, yes he does.
