hammer curls across the front of the body ... effective?
do they work for you if so whats your technique
-
Hammer curls on the sides of the body. VERY effective for the area in between the triceps and biceps ( the specific name on the muscle escapes me ). I use to hammer curl in the front of the body, however, when I started gettin' at higher weights I would feel, at times, my bicep tweak. And, obviously, not in a good way. To each his own though. :)
Btw, you can also use rope. Just clip the rope on a lower pulley and mimic the hammer curl. Works just as good, imo. Or, rather, in my personal experience.

I usually use conventional hammers to the side of the body. I remember way way back using the cross body version which I use to find I hardly felt in the bi or brachilalis

Just want opinions ... Maybe I was doing it wrong... Technique ... Just wanted to see if there was anything I could to to make it personally more effective

just like anything else...very effective first couple times you do them, then you plateau and wont get sore/grow from them ever again unless you dont do them for like 2 months then do it again.

I alternate to side of the body and across the body.

We use hammers for bicep strength but mainly for rotator cuff strength as well.
