wow, i thought vince owned the wwf. ???
do you think he'll set up a rival organisation ??? ??? ??? ::)
-
lol Vince will own the WWE till he dies, he has been formally relieved of his duties die to a vote of no confidence from the board of directors (kayfabe).
Look for this to be the start of a new era in WWE, CM Punk will return with the title and play a huge role in the story. This whole end of contract story line, his shoot on RAW a few weeks ago and his performance at the last PPV has gotten him over in a MASSIVE way.

Vince has to be one of the wealthiest men in the world...

do you guys remember when the wwf/e was awesome ?
-
who in their fucking right mind watch, or attend, ''WRESTLING''?????

The last time I gave two shits about " wrestling " ( I put it into quotations because I use to wrestle ... you know, the real thing ;) ) was when the Ultimate Cokehead ... errr, excuse me ... the Ultimate Warrior was in the ring. I use to really love his interviews ! Lol !

Vince McMahon is not a bad actor. That was actually a pretty good performance.

Technically its kayfabe but from what I've heard he actually is stepping down from running the daily operations of WWE and somewhat retiring. Yes, he'll still own WWE until he dies but he's about to turn 66 so he's prob looking to take it easy.

Vince McMahon is an entertainment GENIUS.
The McMahon family has been capable of producing wrestling "entertainment" for over 40 years that has duped and sucked more money from hillbilly Americans (and dumb Americans as well) than anyone else in history.
The man keeps reinventing the name of sports entertainment decade after decade. He has introduced thousands of story lines and characters. He has managed to reinvent the careers of various wrestlers, that should have been retired decades ago (Hulk Hogan), an endless amount of times. He has also directly shared his wealth and prosperity with his children, which is very honorable and VERY American.
At the end of the day, I give it up to the man. He is an entertainment Genius that can teach the men behind the NPC, IFBB and any other bodybuilding federation a lot about how to make a sport's related business succeed. Again, he is not infallible or impervious to failure, he has had a football league and a bodybuilding federation that failed, but he always found a way of making his money back and that takes a lot of skill and know-how.
Take notes IFBB officials, take notes..

I doubt it... He's got plenty of money no doubt... Definitely "wealthy", but he's not way up there... Net worth is about 700 Million (as of 2001)
It was more in 2000, but wrestling has gone down some.

don't ya'll morons know it's made for TV and all that stuff. please, tell me you don't believe this shit........hahahahahaha haah........Vince is funny as hell, I like him on the show

I dig professional wrestling but agree the WWE was better when it was the WWF.
There have been some awesome physical specimens to have emerged from the federation. And some seriously tough and athletic ones, too. Sure it's scripted (now more than ever) but to deny the athleticism and sturdiness of these guys is to be a doofus.
I prefer the old speeches when they would largely just grunt and spew about trashing some opponent, rather than what is the way today to talk and talk to further the storyline. Today's guys are required to have more acting skill, whereas the men of old had to be just creative with their speeches and make a lot of noise.
I also don't like the massive similarities physically-speaking amongst all the talent. They are all shaved, oiled and are of similar build. There doesn't seem to be anyone of exceptional size or freakiness. Cena has a fantastic build, sure, but he looks like just another streamlined wrestler.

who thinks wrestling is real?
E
-
McMahon just spent over a hundred million, unsuccessfully, to get his wife elected as a US Senator.
And it was stated she ran the company. So, are we to believe she isn't the boss? ::) ::) ::)
-
who thinks wrestling is real?
E
Exactly. People watch it because it's entertaining. Same as watching a movie, which we all know isn't real.

thanks vince!
