i think she first and foremost springboarded from being the implied hottest chick in the number one sit com. And she was very cute in the beginning of the shows run IMO.

She also has a little more 'quirkiness' and 'personality' (whatever the fuck that means) than many other actresses, that coupled with her still fairly good looks in both face and body makes her get all these rom coms roles.
