The funny thing is...how could these events be notable!? The American monetary profligacy has been a motif for decades. Greece is now getting taken out. Italy is next. Ireland has not been looking good for years. It's a recession! Americans, who import way more than they export: and whose defence payments are astronomical; and, pension, and retirement benefits which are/and will be zero; and, finally, Medicare/Medicaid institutionals are totally farked.
