Title: If someone planning on voting for Obama
Post by: Hugo Chavez on August 19, 2011, 10:31:28 AM
wants to start an official re-election thread, you can.  3333's thread will be renamed; despite how much he wants to control every aspect of the board, he doesn't.

As of now I'm voting Obama.

Why?

And please try not to use the word Bush, Palin, Hannity, Fox, Rush, Rove, Cheney

tony, you didn't quote anyone, you could have been suggesting something with 240's post for all I know.  I just asked if you were talking to me so I could reply if you were.

LOL just take it easy bro, teh computer sucks at sarcasm...

Of course i was talking to you, 3 hasnt broken any board rules unlike many who constantly quote and dont post links, troll and bait others yet you have made him the center of your board modding.

one might ask why you turn a blind eye to those breaking the rules yet harrass one that follows them?

I didn't vote for him before and won't now. If RP doesn't get the GOP nomination I might vote third party or something...

My relection thread is not an advocacy or attack thread.  It contains articles about his prospects for relection.

I didn't say 3333 had broken any board rules.

Here is what I am saying.  If there is going to be an "official" re-election thread for Obama on this forum, it's not going to be by 3333.  A thread dedicated to making sure he doesn't get re-elected.

If someone voting for him wants to start a thread dedicated to his re-election, they can.  That's all I'm saying.

333's thread title is probably safe, I doubt anyone wants to start such a thread.  I'm just letting them know they can despite 3333 snagging the thread title.

Who would be the P if Ron Paul is the VP? Just curious.

it would basically take the form of the thread 3 started anyway, where do you think he would post all the shit he does in that thread now?

how about you just have ppl who want to debate obamas re election post in the thread already started to debate his re election?

I doubt anyone will want to start an official re-elect Obama thread but if they do, thanks.  I think it would be better to have someone who is voting for Obama to be behind that title.

hmmmm say a romney, I think he would be the most likely. Perry wouldnt b/c he is a hard headed guy who likes to think he has all the answers.

Romney seems more like a populist so if alot of ppl liked paul he maybe persuaded to pick paul up.

Well, probably not but I am 100% sure that RP would not work with Romney because Romney is the opposite of him.

I won't vote for someone simply to get rid of Obama even though I think he should be gotten rid of.

because the thread title can be moddified and added on to as updates happen or whatever.  If there is to be an "official" thread for the forum.  Best have that be by someone who is going to vote for him.  That's my only issue.  I'm only saying that if there is to be an official re-elect obama thread it should be by an Obama voter and anyone wanting to do that can.

Stating it's official kinda suggests it was sanctioned by mods.  I've had people who wanted to start official this or that threads and they came to me or maybe another mod, I don't know. We tried an official Ron Paul thread that didn't work but they came to me to get it going.  If 3333 had asked about this, I would have said from the start that it should probably be an Obama voter starting it.

Every little aspect that goes wrong with this country gets a new thread with "Obama is now ....." when you could just post that in a single "Fuck Obama" thread instead of piling up 100's of threads.  That's my only complaint with 33, some discretion in thread posts would be nice as now I just tend to skim over any posts I see started by him or don't even bother clicking on them.  If they were all collected in one thread, digest style, then I could just read through that from time to time instead of seeing the whole front board littered with threads.

when the board started I was against that kind of thing (merging topics) for good reason but I never imagined someone like 3333 would come along and post to the extent he does.  3333 has twice the material on this board that 240 has and 240 has twice the material most others have.  3333 went above and beyond balistic on the board litterally dominating it sometimes for months in a row.

I never guessed someone would devote that much time here.  3333 posts so much he does compile his own threads along with masses of new threads.

Because he inherited this mess, tried and failed to clean it up, which anyone else would have done too. But I think at this point he has the best chance to steer it in the right direction. There's NO ONE else viable at this point.

That's a very interesting take on what happened. The right direction you say? Hmmmm. Interesting and horrifying because it is such a wildly inaccurate depiction of reality. He inherited a mess and turned it into a catastrophe. He lied through his teeth to get elected (transparency, bipartisanship, colorblind/ post racial America) and then doubled down on stupid by continuing the worst policies of his predecessor while intentionally weakening America's standing in the world. He has killed more jobs and taken more money out of the American economy than the recession (which never ended by the way) ever did. He has spent nearly his entire presidency vacationing, playing golf and holding mock press conferences with hand picked questions where he muses about how smart he is and how "UnAmerican" it is to disagree with him. He began running his reelection campaign about 6 months after he was elected and he spends the majority of his time mindlessly droning on and on with leftist ideological horse manure in a deranged and bizarre attempt to pretend he is working hard to get things moving in the right direction and that DC is "broken". Was DC broken when this idiot got elected? How about when the left had a near monopoly on the legislative branch?  When everything was all hopey changey?

Now that his policies and worldview have been irrefutably proven to be abject failures, you think he is in the best position to " steer it in the right direction"? Do you mean that he is the best person to steer the country off a cliff and kill everyone?

He was unqualified and unprepared for the job. He surrounds himself with radical marxist trash and career sleezebucket politicians that tell him how handsome and articulate he is instead of advising him on how to fix the country.

If you consider 9+% unemployment viable, a trillion in waste pissed away on "stimulus" viable, a credit downgrade viable and a healthcare plan that will permanently destroy America as we know it viable, then you need your head examined, or you hate America. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.
