Actually there is a pretty good market for exporting automobiles to other countries from the USA. In a nutshell you buy the cars here wholesale make minor repairs if needed then ship the cars to other countries the buyer pays the shipping. Most of the buyers are either wanting them for themselves or resale and most have money. Autos are very expensive in most foreign countries so people are looking to buy in the USA.

Koreans tend to stick with the home market---as I believe Hyundai is state supported...And RWD cars shit over there, I hear of many stories of people crashing due to rain issues....they don't know how to drive RWD cars...and don't let it be a high powered RWD car....

I do and it demonstrates that the United States is at the top of the food chain when it comes to the World Economy.  South Korea is a measly 15th.

You started out with a false assumption that South Korea Economy is "doing better" than the United States. (its not)

This is one of the most ignorant things you have put forth along with your 9/11 Conspiracy.

So tell us, why did you just make that bullshit up?

south korea gdp per capita = 25th in the world ... u.s.a = 7th

south korea average annual wage= 18th... u.s.a = 1st

obviously no contest between the two countries

tho to be fair, one would submit that south korea has been improving, while america has been declining.

Check out the total GDP.  South Korea Pwned.

Also, the statement that Korea is improving whereas America is declining is not really true.  The dip in 08/09 happened around the entire World and as you can see, South Korea in the last few years, still is lagging behind as far as Growth Rate of GDP is concerned.

ya i didnt list total gdp tho cuz it isnt an accurate reflection of what individuals experience in an economy as it has to be divided among total population wich can create huge disparities in living conditions .. high gdp but high population= low average.. high gdp low population= high average

I hope this helps.

  Two things:

  1. They were Third World only 40 years ago whilst the U.S was already #1. They have progressed much faster economically than the U.S over the last 40 years with their GDP growing at 10% a year compared to the U.S' growing at about 4%.

  2. The U.S has 300 million people whilst South korea has less than 40 million. So of course their GDP will be smaller.

Secondly, if you could read, which you can't, you'd see I wrote that Korea has grown a lot faster than the U.S over the last 40 years. Your chart shows growth over the last 4 years and not 40, you ridiculous fucktard. And I can see that you haven't even addressed my point about the U.S obviously having a larger GDP since it has a populaiton of 300 millions versus Korea's population of 40 million. Consider yourself owned. Again. Yo will get owned by me every time we argue because I am simply more intelligent than you. Give up. :)

Well, in terms of quality Fords and Caddies (GMs) match the Europeans and Japanese...they have come a long way and learned alot...it's mostly the stigma that is the reason...Plus, the Viper and Corvette have beaten the best Euro cars in their class on the track. And The Viper has won the 24 Hours of Nurburing, besting Porsches, M3s, and others. Some Euro teams are running Ford GTs, which are still competitive, even after being discontinued.

GM's 4 cylinder Ecotec engines are beasts at making huge power, and so are Ford's 4 cylinders, and the 4 cylinder in the Dodge Neon SRT-4 was a beast as well. When it comes to it, they can hang with the best of the Euros----whether they do it a diff way, there are many paths to Rome.

  Roughly 10%. An approximation.

Quote

Yes, they have. The U.S' GDP per capita was 30 times greater than that of South Korea in the 1950s and now it is only 4 times greater. What does that tell you? That the U.S has grown faster resulting in a decreased GDP per capita in relation to South Korea over the last 40 years? Put two and two together, dummy.

Lol, you first posted a graph comparing home ownership between the U.S and Ethiopia over the last 7 years(2004-2011). What the fuck has this got to do with the U.S' GDP growth rate compared to South Korea's over the last 40 years? Most of what you get with the Corvette/Viper racecars, is what you can get from the showroom---albeit, tuned...and if anything, you cane get the stuff sent to you...

From what I gather, Ecotec, is still  developed under the GM umbrella, whether foreign or not...just like the Fords...
Everybody had said that Ford needed to bring their Euro offerings, as they were better than their US offerings, which is quite true...The Big three have had this view with Americans, that if you give us something, we'll like it, or we'll learn to like it....that has being going on since the 70s...

Are you aware that you made up your statistics?

That is called a statistical approximation, a concept that eludes your simple gargoyle mind. How is you posting a graphic showing the difference in home ownership between the U.S and an African country between 2004 and 2011 prove that the U.S' GDP has grown faster than South Korea's over the past 40 years? Riddle me that, dumbass.

Yes, you did post a graph comparing U.S home ownership rates to those of Namibia from 2004 to 2011, but you also posted a graphic comparing GDP growth rate between the U.S and South Korea from 2007 to 2011, whilst my point was that South Korea has experienced a much higher GDP growth rate than the U.S over the past 40 years. Learn how to read, dumbass.

Adonis, say what you want but our current debt levels and trends are not sustainable.  40 cents of every tax dollar collected is used to pay interest on debt. The only way out of this is through a trade surplus and guess what, we don't manufacture anything.

Yawn, you are such a sore loser. You edited your post, liar. And it doesen't matter. The bottom line is that South Korea has grown economically much faster over the past 40 years than the U.S. You were wrong and I was right. I will be waiting your apology when you are man enough to give it.

The things that is still Made in the USA are of the absolute highest quality.  Plus, our farming as a whole is the most technologically advanced in the world.
