Title: making test ethenate into test base

couldnt one use sodium hydroxide to cleave the ester like you do in the synovex conversion and end up with test base from ethenate? I think it would be put your test ethenate in methanol then add sodium hydroxide let sit for 12-24 hrs then add could water to re solidify and then filter and you have test base. It could also be done with a syno kit just using teste powder instead of syno am i correct in my thinking?

why reconstitute with water instead of oil?

no you add the water to make the test recrystalise then filter the test base out i know it works with prop but have never heard of someone doing it with ethenate but it should work

thanks fr asking this question, i wasnt aware how simple it is to cleave an ester. yes, after alittle bit of research, it appears that you could do so.
