Title: a calorie is a calorie IF....

.....you are already very lean and work out like a monster



at this point i'm not even eating any "Diet" type foods.

It's basically bacon, bagels, regular cereal, fast foods, gourmet foods, etc and i'm still as lean


......BUT, I''m already lean AND i'm working out VERY hard everyday.

For instance, I just did 11.81 miles this morning and will do BJJ and sprint work at night

and this is my breakfast
big bowl of cinnamon toast crunch
bagel with peanut butter and regular jelly
6 oreos
handfull of almonds
whole milk


then, I eat again at night and for that I'll have like a burger at 5 guys with a big thing of fries and maybe a pint of ice cream if my body wants it

i'm not worrying about water intake or getting my 6 meals every 2-3 hours or any of that shit.

I drink nothing but starbucks and shit and i'm still lean


So, does this thread go 5 pages?

How much whole milk  at brekky ? Id put more protein in if muscle gain is your goal if not just enjoy it  ;D

Enough milk. Id say like 8 ounces

My strength gains have gone up regardless of what my macronutrient end up being at days end

Nice - well you are a PT so should know what you are doing  ;D Are you going to get back on the good stuff (AAS) ?

i agree with johnny, i've been in the range of 7-8% BF for 3-4 years now and i can get away with eating a lot more caloric dense food and not getting fat at all, and i rarely do cardio.........with time our body gets accustumod to being lean or fat, that's why fat people have trouble with weightloss and lean people with getting fat

roughly you ate about 1500 calories and if you ran almost 12 miles it burnt approx. 1200 calories .. I can assume you only eat twice a day by your post and if you are doing BJJ and sprinting on top of the run .. yeah .. I'd say you're gonna stay lean .. you have always came off as a "fidgety" type too ( not intending it as anything negative ) that itself lends you the advantage of burning even more throughout the day than someone with an office job for instance ... so I really don't see you getting big unless you totally change everything .. some folks are meant to be lean and some are predisposed to have to fight to get there

consider yourself lucky and keep enjoying yourself .. healthy and happy are the 2 finer things in life

If?  There are no Ifs.   You could have just started and ended this thread with a calorie is a calorie and Macro Nutrients are not Macro nutrients.  I find if you include that second part of the statement, you can avoid a whole host of the usual rabble who want so badly to disagree with something which is not up for debate.

You don`t even have to work out nearly that hard either.  You could slash your entire workouts by 3/4 and you would look exactly the same and eating whatever you want.

I agree.

IF youre lean doesnt really matter what you eat.

last yr i competed.. got lean.. lost A TON of muscle mass, became a twink. I used bunk gear.. :'( + T3..

THEN i added 1g test (legit from the pharmacy) and 35mg thai dbols (legit too and gh15 approved) ate whatever, got "huge"...by my own standars.. and lean.

when i say whatever...whatever it didnt really matter, as long as i took enough protein. I said fuck it i will become fat...ate and ate and put on muscle without really want to.lol

right now, I'm hoping that I will look like a ripped David Ortiz in three months if I keep up the eating, tanning and facial hair
