not even one guess?
The answer is The Tea Party

" Interestingly, one group that approaches it in unpopularity is the Christian Right"

You couldn't tell? Seems to be a reason that all a good number of the tea party heroes would not caucus with the group after the 2010 elections.

Good! As it should be! Doing what's right and making the right decisions is hardly ever popular. Christians shouldn't be popularity seekers.

with any luck they will "right decision" us right out of existence
but then I guess most christians expect and want that to happen as a necessary prelude to the second coming of Jeebus
The rest of us are just have a hard time buying into the point of view of a death cult

Tea Party is going to steam roll 2012 like it did in 2010. Even Jack Cafferty is on board now.

Why do you think they are so unpopular Straw?
-
Liberalism is a cancer. Brain cancer. The left has been the stumbling block of civilization. Everything they touch turns to crap. For example, just look at Obama. Just look at some of the idiots on this board who refuse to see the evidence right in front of their snot filled noses that the progressive ideals are utter garbage. They mock Christians for their faith. You have to maintain an even greater faith to think that the left has any answers for the problems that ails this country.

Why do you think they are so unpopular Straw?
I think as people got to know who they are and what they are about they are perceived as being dumb, irrational, divisive and perhaps (some might say) racist.
I think people on all sides fo the aisle are fed up that we can't get anything done in this country and teabaggers are seen as part of the problem
those are my opinions and I'm not saying those are the conclusions of the study that was the source of this info

LMFAO!!!!
The Tea Party was born of the bankster bailouts and obamacare when the dems ran the congress and obama rammed through all sorts of insane shit.

Funny how much Obama and all of his fan boys love the tea party. It gives them someone else to blame for the Dems' failures.

whatever the organic roots of the tea party they are now nothing more than a corporate shills controlled by Freedom works and the Koch brothers and their ilk.
Also, they have no cohesive or rational agenda that will benefit the country and they have hijacked our political process to the detriment of us all (except of course their billionaire masters)

Ha ha ha - you mean like Buffet, Immelt, Dimon, Kohn, et al?

You honestly believe Obama and the rest of his administration do not have "their billionaire masters"?

Dems have no one to blame but themselves
Obama shouldn't have blinked on the tax cuts or the debt negotiations
He should have let the Republican and the Tea Baggers follow through with their threat to kill the hostage (in the words of Senate leader Mitch McConnell).
That's what I wanted him to do and I expressed my disappointment on those and other failures many times on this board

are you referring to the Buffet who claims our country coddles him and his fellow billionaires and that we should raise their taxes?

I think our entire system is corrupted to serve the interest of billionaires and multi-national corporations at the direct expense of the citizens of this country

Obama's original sin straw was the following:
1. Appointing Geithner, Summers, lieu, and reappointing Bernake to the Fed
2. immelt to head Jobs summit
3. Bailing out the criminals on wall street in AIG, GS, etc.
4. Covering up the fraud on Wall Street
That was his original sin Straw.

too much to cover in one post but I was against Geithner from the beginning, I have no problem with Bernake (for the most part) and most of the stuff you mentioend was started under Bush or is a continuation
I would like to see a meaninful and comprehensive investigation of the financial crimes that we know happned and I'd like to see those who committed them (like Mozilo for exmaple) to lose everything they have and spend the rest of their miserable lives in jail

Then why did you single out the tea party there? Why do you want Obama to get re-elected?
-
I'm not sure where these poll numbers come from (any of them). But atheists are by far the most despised.
How many atheists win elections? The Tea Party actually won some elections.
No atheists are gonna get elected dog catcher in the USA. You have to profess a belief in fairy tales. What do you expect from a nation that has not and cannot master its own native language, by and large?

No - the problem with aeithists is their mocking of religious people.
If they simply said - here is what I believe - but I totally respect you belief in God, etc, they would win elections.
No - instead we get condescending bs 24/7 which turns people off.

You're absolutely wrong.

You're absolutely wrong.
Really? Personally I am the least religious person you might meet. However, I find the attitude towards religious people revolting.
They are free to believe in whatever they want like you or I are.
Why mock them 24/7?
-
Me personally? I just get sick of intellectually lazy people. If you're not willing to be conscious and face the facts of the universe, then you're not really being a person. In addition, religious people often want others to be forced to live by their views, such as putting the Ten Commandments in the courtroom and creating other laws based on their 'faith'. If that's your thing, go live somewhere else. This is not the place for it.
I've also seen the evil that religion can drive people to. When I see evil, I speak out against it. I assume this to be my duty, but I'm not sure why. I want the most good for the most people. Religion alienates people and turns them against each other, has throughout history.
As for politicians, I think that they have to lie about 'faith' in order to get elected. It really makes me angry because it's such blatantly pandering horseshit. Even Democrats do it.
But I'm not trying to run for any office. In order to do that, I would have to subjugate my own philosophy. It's simply not for sale.
-
I dont care if people buy into satanism, man on the moon, etc. If they leave me the hell alone - they can believe whatever the hell they want.
-

Yes, that's a proper attitude. But so many religions want to push their shit on you. They want you to play by THEIR rules.
How am I not supposed to buck back against that? Religious people so often expect you to 'respect their faith', which, in other words, means to accommodate them. Fuck that.

Works both ways - i respect their right to believe in whatever they want, but I detest those that try to mock them and deprive them of believing in crazy shit too. That's the problem, people who are religious should leave those who dont believe alone, and vice versa.
